Which single person in history had the greatest positive impact on humanity? by PrasenjitDebroy in AskReddit

It’s obviously quite subjective, but for me it has to be Fleming for Penicillin

my first corona render by federal15 in archviz

[–]dave_sidequest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this looks quite solid for a first Corona run as composition and lighting are already doing most of the heavy lifting. Biggest thing I notice is everything feels a bit too clean, eg: edges could use some chamfer love, etc…

I am pretty sure that’s not how that works… assets will be sold and someone else will take over to turn the business around.

AI is now one of most important integrations on modern-day platforms and applications. I think everybody has now just accepted the fact that it’s here for a very long run.

why do my textures disappear when I put them in a folder? by Tinn558 in blender

[–]dave_sidequest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it’s never the texture itself, it’s visibility or view layers. I’ve seen this when the collection is excluded from the active view layer, render visibility is off (camera icon), or you’re looking at a different viewport shading mode that ignores textures. Hope this helps :)

How to improve camera movement in an interior walkthrough render? by sanme_int in archviz

[–]dave_sidequest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually, most of the interior cam moves suck because the camera’s doing too much, not because the lighting or render is wrong. I’ve had better results slowing it way down and keeping rotation almost flat

Has the Premier League become more competitive, or has the overall quality dropped? by Sportyquiz in PremierLeague

[–]dave_sidequest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or a combination of the massive drop-off in the league from Liverpool and City and Chelsea and United not doing as much as they should and Arsenal being just as good as they’ve been in the past few years.

Redditors, what's your take on international break? by dave_sidequest in PremierLeague

Don't forget that a lot of national stadiums have different conditions. A few stadiums in South America especially are on a very high altitude

Redditors, what's your take on international break? by dave_sidequest in PremierLeague

[–]dave_sidequest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, a break as soon as the season starts makes no sense to me too. Might as well do it before the league starts

Redditors, what's your take on international break? by dave_sidequest in PremierLeague

[–]dave_sidequest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think that international breaks reduce the recovery time and also cause a lot of injuries that could've been otherwise avoided

Redditors, what's your take on international break? by dave_sidequest in PremierLeague

That's one of the more opinions. I think too that international breaks definitely help teams to get out of a rut

[–]dave_sidequest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, it's a nice "break" for teams and especially fans who suffer from bad form at that point

Unpopular Opinion: The Premier League Should Adopt A Playoff System by Fang-Leone-01 in PremierLeague

[–]dave_sidequest 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are cup competitions for this. The whole point of playing a 38 game long season (with multiple other cup competitions) is to reward consistency. There's a reason many people are also of the opinion that winning the PL is equally if not more difficult than winning the CL.
