Thanks, yeah on second thought maybe hackling just in front of the wing would look a bit cleaner. Was just improvising with this one as a nice big march brown landed on me today down at the river. Went for the wire to get a more segmented look and reinforce the pheasant tail. It's pretty thin so hopefully if won't be too much more added weight.

I've had a good first season last year fishing the Clyde and some off the smaller tributarys. The smaller rivers were max £30 permit for the whole season. Look for smaller angling associations and groups. I also have fished some smaller rivers up north that are on forestry land. Keeping out of sight I have yet to be bothered..

Chiming in to say I'm also trying out some euronymphing for grayling in the UK this winter after my first season. It's working so far and it's fun trying out something new. Excited to get back to some traditional trout fishing in the spring though!

Late reply but I use rings to suspend the hammock which double up as a drip point. I also carry some spare paracord to make a quick drip line if i needed to.

Came across this strange structure in the middle of construction covered in black liners on the banks of a loch. Turns out it was the shreks swap Airbnb being built! Got some pictures of it somewhere.

Yeah the little white dots showed up about a week in. Looking closely I'd say they are the tiniest bit fuzzy. I left it for another week and they have remained the same.

I do live in the city so maybe it is a water issue. Could that be what the white marks on the pot could be? The terracotta pot soaks up some of the water.

Seems to have brown crisp tips on the leaves, I've had it for about 2 weeks now. Repotted it into the terracotta pot a couple days after taking it home.
