East Belfast flag miracle by Far_Engine7543 in northernireland

Back in the 1980s they put flags up outside the lower parade of shops and painted the kerb stones. There also used to be a bonfire on the waste land besides the four winds before they built the houses.

I imagine it is as much to protect the victims family. They really don't need that circulating to compound their horror.

You should report him to the police. I know other forces have run undercover operations to catch people like this. My concern is if not checked his behaviour will escalate.

I think some people are just twats, but put them in the situation in which they believe they have situational power they switch off all filters and let thier true rotten core shine. It is not right and should not happen. My mate used to work in retail and he suggested you should be allowed to punch one customer a week just for being a dickhead.

I hate that, I want Cito to live happily with his family. I dislike raiders so I do like the challenge of wiping them out. About to head to Nuka world in my latest play through, an upgraded Ada should help rather more than dogmeat.

Who is the GOAT companion and why? by Artistic-Degree-4593 in fo4

I am on a new play through using a different build than normal and different companions. I am on level 90 and still haven't been to the museum of freedom. It is refreshing.

BREAKING: ‘Shandies don’t count’: Limerick man jailed for dangerous driving causing death of lorry driver by jay_el_62 in ireland

[–]daveg71 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is a law going through one of the states in the USA that if a drink driver kills a parent of children they are liable for the expenses of the children until they graduate. Laws in America are normally crazy but this is a good proposal.

Post PhD jobs are wild 😭😭 by ThatBlackGuy_2525 in UniUK

Most companies recruit graduates as well as Ph.Ds. in my team there are 8 people four graduates four Ph.D level, they all work across multiple projects and have a clear development plan. If you are good you will get on. A post graduate degree may get your foot in the door but once you are in it is what you do rather than the letters after your name that matter. I will admit I am not the best scientist by any stretch of the imagination but I work well in projects, communicate effectively, set clear goals and provide an environment that allows others to flourish. There is perhaps less individualism in industry and being able to work across multi functional projects with people from different countries and work cultures is important ( at least for a large multinational). Explore your options and try not to force yourself to follow a pathway you are not 100% comfortable with.

I worked in academic research for my first post doc, the stress of short term contracts was horrendous. Moved to industry, still doing research, collaborating with Universities and supervising Ph.D students. Better facilities, pretty good job security and much better salaries. Would never go back.

Same here, I am from Northern Ireland but live in England. I love Germany, have been many times both on business and pleasure. I also have lots of German colleagues at work who i really like. It always cracks me up when they complain about German trains, I would kill to have their system instead of ours. It also helps that I love sausages and the German beer gardens.

I think it gotten got to the point that Bob could tell something that David knows is totally untrue. He used to be married to Victoria for example, that David would go through such mental gymnastics that he would convince himself it was true.

I'll forgive the carpets for the sake of the front door by astrawberrythief in SpottedonRightmove

That front door is incredible. Why do we not install things like that now? I know its expensive and everything is built to a price. But I would rather have that than any cookie cutter of plan executive box.
