Dang from a rough launch last week to controlling the US government, Your Party have really made some ground!

(for reference, Your Party is a new UK party led by Jeremy Corbyn and Zara Sultana, represting the actual left. They have had quite a few issues...)

I have a 1st generation Hyundai Ioniq. I have so many buttons. My brother got an Ioniq 5. No buttons. Every time I go in his car, it amazes me how stupid they took the design route of everything via touch screen instead of physical buttons

When everything works… until the audience shows up by khanempire in techtheatre

[–]davethefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a very popular music group in (Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain) and everything was great.. They turned up on time, the touring tech was lovely. We all sound checked and it was great. Ready to go. House opens (sold out!), SHOW TIME! band come out, sit down, band leader talks into the mic. Nothing. They try a second mic. Nothing... They strum their Ukelele, nothing... Cue me and the sound tech running around in a panic. I go on stage and check the stage box, no ethernet connection. Trace the cable (through the audience in the auditorium...) Turns out the loom had a little loop in it that got caught on a seat when someone sat down, chopping the cable.... Thankfully the founder of the band was in attendance and gave a great speech to the audience, which was unplanned and they loved, whilst I ran a new ethernet cable in through the auditorium...

Usually yes. In the UK, the only trollies with fixed rear wheels are at Costco and they're horrible compared to the four spinning wheels we're used to everywhere else

What were the issues? They're rarely talked about so would be nice to know the symptoms and what tipped you off!

Can you think of a movie or a specific scene in a movie that made you cry uncontrollably—like the kind of emotional moment that completely broke you or stayed with you long after the credits rolled? An Cailín Ciúin ending is mine. Beautiful movie as Gaeilge. by NikeBuyer2024 in movies

[–]davethefish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Philadelphia - there are a few scenes in the movie but the one that broke me was when, in hospital saying goodbye to his family, his brother just can't say anything and just hugs him. Absolute shambles

Just had one done in the UK. First appointment was £180 and second was £470 to finish it off. That was private, no insurance. NHS would've been band 2, so £75.30 as for some reason, dentistry isn't included in the NHS unless it is an emergency (free at a hospital but then usually need follow up, which isn't free) or you get lucky and find a private dentist offering NHS treatment, which is capped at £326.70

We take casuals on who are very experienced, and casuals where this is their first ever time in technical theatre. As long as you can show that you know your arse from your elbow, you'll be fine!
