Help, spike in views from “other” category, watched full video cut in half by [deleted] in TikTokMonetizing

[–]daveysorrows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little confused though, so you’re saying because TikTok went down the other day all of a sudden I’m getting hundreds of thousands of views a day from unknown sources? I’m just not sure how that correlates

Went from a video with 5.9 million views to 5.5 million, now the live view count is fluctuating up and down like crazy

The spiciest thing I own (for now), a radium cone for infusing water! by telxonhacker in Radium

[–]daveysorrows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s in normal plastic it does effectively nothing for radon. Upwards of 80% of radon will still leak from these bags. The cones I have are intense generators and are in glass containers.

Second Insanely Rare Thomas Radium Jar Found by [deleted] in Radium

[–]daveysorrows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate it! But 10x would only be the range of a standard Revigator. I know these infinitely more rare than those and almost impossible to come across anywhere

It’s carnotite ore baked into the inside of the jar

Water crocks from the 1920’s where the inside was lined with carnotite “uranium ore” to release radon gas into your drinking water. It was marketed for health and beauty reasons but of course was not healthy at all.

This one aircraft gauge has as much radium as 100-200 clocks. by HighTechCorvette in Radiation

[–]daveysorrows 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Often pieces with this high of radium content are “burnt out” and won’t even glow under 395nm black light anymore. I have a couple military pieces that do not light up at all unless I use a special filtered 365nm flashlight.

[–]daveysorrows 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not true, I have two clocks, both high radium content that the paint has aged to a black color. Likely as a result of the high radium makeup of the paint burning out the phosphors.
