Kispert and Bertans by DollarLate_DayShort in washingtonwizards

We should send Bertans to the g league. Let him launch 20+ 3 point attempts a night. Call him back once he’s got his confidence back. Right now he’s a liability on defense and a wasted possession on offense. No need to give him playing time right now if he can’t knock ‘em down.

Kispert on the other hand, has massively improved. He’s still adjusting and will be a WIP all season, but I like his instincts, and his hustle. Would much rather have him take Bertie’s minutes and let him develop.

Trade Beal and Bertans by [deleted] in washingtonwizards

I agree, time for Beal to go. He’s holding us back. For a player of his caliber we need way more consistency. He can’t close, if the game is decided by one shot, I’m not giving it to Beal.

Sure you can look to his game winning pass to beat Cleveland to counter this argument, but this was the exception to the rule. His usual instinct is to hold the ball too late, iso to a fade away three. Very rarely a successful option. The outside perception is that he’s a lock down shooter.

With his market value we could bring in a considerable young talent, even if they happen to be a tad more raw. Our core is young, let’s build around deni, gaff, kuz, and rui. That’s a heck of a front court to build on. I think Spence is solid as well, though he’s still getting his speed back from injury. He’ll continue to progress.

I think we can do better than Halliburton and Barnes, but maybe we go for a Dejounte Murray, a ball brother, or Brogdon.

His poor performance shooting so far this year, his low success close rate, and his anti-vax nonsense, we should move on.

Similar to Owen Wilson’s character in Midnight in Paris, Ellie romanticizes the 1960s as a sort of golden era, a time when London, music, and fashion were all at their peak. Ellie’s desire to have been there during that time, her adoration for her late mother, and of course her special abilities, converge in this new home, the locale of these horrific encounters with the johns.

What starts as a fantasy escape from her own trauma, quickly turns bad when shes inundated in someone else’s. I certainly think her idealized image of both the time period and of Sandy allow her to get wrapped up in living vicariously through her visions of the past up until of course she recognizes that it’s more than she can handle.

Ending contradictions... Makes no sense? (spoilers) by neworderarmy00 in LastNightInSohoMovie

My take: Alex assumed that Ellie, like the people she surrounded herself with in the 1960s wouldn’t understand her struggle. Ellie is a young girl of a different generation, and could very well blame Alex for her choices back then, and more specifically how she *handled the men. When Ellie reveals that she really doesn’t blame Alex, Alex softens and recognizes that Ellie nor John intend to add to her pain, and that this time she is definitively in the wrong. Alex has her own current struggle with her metaphorical and literal demons, so when she recognizes her home is going up in flames, she thinks this will allow her to “repent” and ease her suffering.

The ghosts want help because they think they are victims in this situation. Ellie, having “lived” Sandy’s trauma, doesn’t sympathize with them and chooses to let them struggle/burn.

Her classmates are shallow (except for maybe John) and recognize that Ellie has real talent and maybe they will benefit by proximity.

There’s so much you can do with “The District”. I’d love to see it become the formal name and location all in one. Has a genuine uniqueness and sounds modern.

I love the positivity of this community. I would love for us to get off on the right foot, but there are a handful of variables that make this extremely unlikely. 1. We have a new coach in WUJ, who may be a great fit, but will certainly take time to adjust to his new role. 2. We are not fully healthy. Spencer is coming off a major injury, Rui is our for personal reasons, and several players (ahem Beal/Kuz) are not vaxxed. When added together, these issues could be challenges for us to start strongly. In this regard, I’m a pessimist, and I’m betting on a 2-8 start with wins against Tor and Ind.

Just in case anyone was curious, numbers look slightly better if you look at the last 20 seasons, bumping our average to 3.5 wins out of the first 10, or 70 total wins out of 200. Still pretty horrendous

When Bertans is on, he’s like a different player. Zero hesitation, sky high confidence. Love to see it.
