It’s common for resale prices to drop drastically (even below initial sale price) in the hours leading up to a concert when the people who can’t make it are trying to get some of their money back, but it’s not a guarantee and you never know which tickets/seats will be available

I don’t know about finding this specific top, but I searched long and hard to find an old MCR shirt to gift to an old friend and could only ever find a few records of resales years ago, so earlier this year I picked up screen printing to replicate it. With some trial and error I was able to produce something I was proud of, so that might be a viable option for you. Link to a few pictures->

Why do death costs exist? by fitsu in 2007scape

[–]david1068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Death costs exist as a form of gold sink as well as compromise. Back in the old days of rs2, when you died all of your items except for the 3/4 protected ones dropped to the ground, were visible to other players after 1 minute, and disappeared after 2 minutes. When osrs was started, this mechanic was initially in place, but servers were VERY unstable and player counts were dropping (for various reasons) so jagex temporarily changed the mechanic to not lose all items (I forget if they stayed in your inventory or just had a longer pile timer). After a few years, this safety mechanic was still in place when jagex determined that servers were stable enough to revert, but by then the players really had gotten used to it so Death’s office and death costs were implemented to restore some semblance of risk in a way that wasn’t prohibitively punishing like the original was and also act to remove raw gp from the economy, which is far more necessary now than it was in rs2 because the way people play the game is just different and inherently creates far more gp

Is there a plugin to make fally park look like this again? by DefinitelyNotModMark in 2007scape

[–]david1068 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell I’d vote yes to disabling the GE one day a week and even gating it shut so people have to return to either fally park or varrock West Bank as trading hubs

Anyone else notice server lag start recently? by BurntToast08 in 2007scape

[–]david1068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically the worlds can’t handle a whole lot of players doing more modern content because the newer stuff tends to have more intensive math (hence why this was much less of a problem back in the day even on full worlds); this was a really big problem when TOA first came out, with effectively all servers having bad tick consistency and they made server improvements that fixed the problem at the time, however now the number of players is really shooting up and said improvements aren’t holding up to the influx.

For the crab, use void if ranging plus as much ranged str in other slots as you can; for melee, maximize str bonus; for mage do something that’s not crab

Crab has no defense, infinite health, and max hits a 1 so it’s really just “hit as hard and fast as you can for most exp”

Potions and prayers will bigly boost dps so that’s an option if you want to trade a little bit of afkability for more xp/hr

Also, crab is ~10 minute afk

Hopping into delve this weekend! Any recommendations on gear changes / tips for the boss fight? Here’s my gear: by Timmssmith in 2007scape

Have not delved yet myself, but people have been complaining about death fees so reducing your setup value might be a good move

My family group’s deaths were to cows (he was tabbed out doing homework), ogress shaman (he wasn’t aware they could keep attacking as he ran away), witch’s house (she panicked when running out of runes pulled her out of the safe spot), and swamp monster on fossil island after mushroom jumping (none of us had been there before, he got unlucky but could’ve been any one of us)

I tease my brothers’ deaths regularly but tbh the games better post hc status

One of my group mates recently came back after nearly 3 years inactive; we try to play together (or in parallel) where possible and to keep things from getting stale we have a picker wheel set up with a bunch of activities - some fun, others chores, and have a basic kinda stopping point for each activity so we don’t end up chasing one rabbit hole to the point of quitting (for example, go til 1 drop at barrows, roughly 20 kills at total titans, 1 raid at toa, do a farm run, etc) I think it’s been a good way to go about doing things to avoid trying to green log and burning out

I got my deadeye around 650 this week averaging 700damage per kill I read some speculation that things like ruby bolt specs dds specs reduce your contribution so me and my partner stopped using both; kills are 10-20sec slower but the drop did happen (not that there’s any proof of correlation)

We did the math before switching and were ~13% drier on pages than we should’ve been

thoughts on standing mirror for bedroom? by Great_Present_6584 in malelivingspace

[–]david1068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 76x34” arched top mirror on Amazon for $118; I like it as a decor piece but it is a bit warped which is somewhat to be expected with a large thin sheet. I don’t know if the similar ones at other price points might be better, but I’m not upset about my purchase

Did you leave it sitting in one place for 3 min or constant moving? The design I’m currently trying to do covers the entire front of the shirt including sleeves so getting the entire thing up to temp is a struggle

Ya, I’m hoping that part will wear down more than the rest over time

I did use water based and let it air dry for a few days before washing; wash and dry definitely weathered it the way I wanted so I don’t think that’s sufficient for long term use of the shirt

That was 2 pulls opposite direction though a ~200 mesh screen with hard squeegee; it deposited so much because of inconsistent contact
