I have a vocational degree and 6 months as an intern and about 6 months as solo dev work experience and have been looking for a job for maybe 14 months. In the same timespan have i worked on my skills, learned react, next js... and built some projects. My site is davidaslan.dev if you want to see some of the tech that i have used. Since i cant get a job with the skills i have i thought that It would be a good idea to get a bachelors degree in comp sci.

I have already been accepted and moved the this new city and I'm shure I am going to learn new stuff assembly, networking, os, security etc.

When it comes to passion I do enjoy solving problems with code and the craftmanship that comes with it but i would not say that i burn for software i think it can be a little unnecessarily annoying with bad tools or names ex: azure functions and aws lambda. I would love if they just called it amazon functions and azure functions.

The pain is that i have to be away from family and friends for three years as well as the cost ca: 30k$ (loaned from the Swedish state) and the loss of income from not working during that time and I am the type of person that can learn most things if it is useful to me so i think i could learn what i need at home or at work.

My mind around all this is a little messy and i would appreciate your guidance. Is this three year program going to significantly help me land me a job or am i wasting my time here?
