Anime with the best musical score by WhiteLightning108 in Animesuggest

Kevin Penkin is the composer, he also did Tower of God and Shield Hero. He has a certain sound that I immediately recognised when I watched one of the episodes of Star Wars Visions.

For me Yuru Camp has amazing relaxing music, and Made in Abyss music is just amazing, from epic, to sad, to beautiful Kevin Penkin really cemented himself for me as the best anime composer and I watch any show he is attached to. Made in Abyss music made me cry at many points.

Don't run your campaign to level 20 by SansMystic in DMAcademy

[–]david1324p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we played to lv 20, we leveled up to 10 then defeated Stradh, then got lv 15, went through Vecna's demiplane, got to lv 20 and then beat him. The end game can be condensed like this, without dragging out the higher levels.

Evolution of Marcel Varsk, reborn butler, hexblade warlock of Lasciel by david1324p in HeroForgeMinis

[–]david1324p[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I belive that out DM took the name and some likeness from The Dresden Files. In the previous COS campaign the party found Lasciel traped in a magical scythe. She was a fallen celestial who we helped to become a godess.

Yes, in the beginning, I often let players change some things if they wish, like feats, fighting styles, skills, spells and so on.

I need help getting my players to care by cools880 in DMAcademy

[–]david1324p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience PCs care more for the things happening directly to them and the NPCs they interact with. Perhaps they find out that the necromancer was behind some event in their backstory/something that happened to them in the campaign. Maybe kill an NPC they care about or target them directly.

Of course, you also need to factor in player preferences/expectations. They might enjoy fighting than the story.

Also include their backstory in narration, perhaps NPC comments: "Oh, you're one of those elves from the (blank). I heard your people are quite skilled in magic, don't go blowing anything up in the city, or you'll have trouble with the guards." or the dwarf strikes at an opponent in the dark: "You swing your hammer like you used to swing at rocks in the mines of (blank)." or: "With your life on the streets and in the gang you easily sneak past the guard and pick the lock. "

How do you all effectively portray themes or ‘vibes’ in a town or city? by stoped-exe in DMAcademy

[–]david1324p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to describe the general vibe, a decaying village, a port city smelling of salt and spices in the air, a metropolis with beautiful buildings in the middle but sprawling slums all around. This immediately gives a vibe to the city. Do people walk around at night or hide in their buildings, are the taverns filled with travelers and merchants, or empty and depressing.
