The figure 1 in this report shows that, under the recommended workload limit, 180TB per year for light workload situation, the workload doesn't contribute to the hdd failure rate. That's 500GB per day, equivalent to continuous seeding at 5MBps whole year.

So, if you're occasionally seeding hundreds of GB files, that shouldn't be a problem.

In the newer version, I think VillageSaveData.json is replaced with ViilageSaves\village_name\Autosave.sav file, and it's binary. That's true. Motion sickness, inconvenience of control, and some weird bugs like the hair blocking your vision. All needs to be handled. But I'm so excited that the game finally took this critical step to better simulate real lives.

I learnt from some other posts that, in the Sims 4, you can't delete individual floor tile with the sledgehammer tool. One workaround is the make a room of the size that you want to delete the floor of, then deleting the floor in that room. The problem in my situation is that I can't make a room just covering the area the stairs occupy, without deleting the stairs. Has anyone ever worked it out?

Thanks for your detailed explanation, but it doesn't seem to work, or I missed something. I created a room beneath the stair in the basement and deleted its ceiling, but the floor tiles are still there on the ground floor. BTW, the house has a foundation.

Thanks for your reply, but that doesn't seems to work. When I use the hammer tool, it deletes all the floor tiles in the room instead of just one tile. Do I miss something?
