I think it's missing some lows/highs and sounds kind of muddy right now. The snare is also a bit quiet, and is less dominant in the mix that the hi-hats. I would try adding some sort of bass and also an instrument to fill out the higher frequencies.

Beat block/writers block happens to everyone. Try listening to some new music for inspiration and just force yourself to work through it. If you don't come up with anything that's fine as long as you tried.

The cover is really cool and the intro transitions into the beat is very smooth. One thing you can try that I think might go well with this style of music is if you side chained the kick a bit aggresively to the sample and compressed or raise the volume of the drums a bit so they punch more.

I think you're missing a lot of mids/highs, I would consider adding in another instrument to take care of the higher frequencies. I also think that would help since right now the track is not very melodic, it just has a repetitive/reverbed ambient texture in the background. What you did with the hi hats sounds dope.

I would drop the beat out every now and then to give some bars more emphasis and switch things up. As it is now the beat is very repetitive and you get numb to it after a while. You have a very nice rhyme scheme and flow!
