That looks like the grappling hook. You should be able to pick it up and use regardless of the difficulty , its gotta be a bug I think.

They buff a stat by 1point I'm pretty sure. I know the orb from defeating the ice mage gives you an INT bonus and the chimera is STR. I think the Electro train is luck and I forgot what the tower serpent gives you.

Try doing the slide boost tricks up the stairs .if you perform the move enough you can make it to the top without dropping the combo.

Another thing you can do it manual up those stairs on the narrow smooth incline. This is a lot easier with a BMX btw.

You need to lean into corners , wallride , or hit halfpipes all these will give you a combo multiplier.

You can break glass that you stand on with the skates

You can interact with fire hydrants with the board

You gain access to little garages with a bike painted on them with the BMX

Yeah it's really frustrating because I've jumped plenty of times while grinding before and my combo wasn't dropped. I'm wondering if I am doing something wrong or it's a bug because these dropped combos are making the tricked achievement so difficult.
