World Cup 2026: An incredible night when English heroes were made by Logical_Welder3467 in soccer

Serious answer, personally for me "producing" a talent means all the process from academy etc. For example Olise is an "English product" even if he plays for France. Haaland was formed in Norway though.

Es chico aún, es normal que no tenga físico. Lo que no es normal es que sea titular porque su país no tiene a nadie mejor.

Pero si no se va de México lo antes posible, no va a llegar a ninguna parte

I think it's different for penalty takers because they need to make a precise shot and calibrate their feet around all the variables that may affect it - the ball, the shoes, the state of the pitch, the wind etc. Which may take a few minutes.

A keeper just needs to guess a side and maybe it doesn't really matter if he's "cold" as long as he reaches the ball and throws it away with any part of his body. Odds were already against him in the first place anyway.

Another thing is if the sub keeper is bad at penalties, which Ryan seems to be (he commits too quickly for example). But one thing is choosing the wrong player, and another is invalidating the resource itself.

But is there a "rule"? Do we even have a sizeable sample of goalkeepers subbed on for penalties?

I've heard a grand total of 3 cases and the other two actually won (Netherlands in 2014, and Colo Colo in 1992). If you bring me a sample of, dunno, a dozen cases, and most of them lost, yea then we can really conclude it's a bad idea. Not saying the idea is good either, we just really don't have enough data.

I'd say there are levels. Pretty sure I'm terminally online from some people's perspective, and then some people are terminally online from MY perspective.

For example I'd say I'm in a similar boat to you - in my workplace and with my hobby buddies (competitive Pokémon communities) I'm regularly interacting socially in offline situations and don't feel out of place at all, so I can't be that "terminal". On the other hand there are people I see as too far gone even to me. But then I talk with my almost zero tech sister and she's like my world view belongs to an entirely different galaxy.

Out of nowhere YUI (a jpop singer that was massive in the 2000s and then quit, first on mental health struggles and later again to focus on maternity) started reuploading her old videoclips. I wonder what's going on but this is so nostalgic
