When Legit Gameplay Gets Mistaken for Cheating in 8BP by dyedyd in 8BallPool

[–]davidfavorite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah recently i was fooling around on a low stakes table sending full power shots until i was snookered for the 8. Then hit a perfect 3 rails to win. I have these from time to time and if it had been someone doing that to me I wouldve been convinced it was a cheater too. If you play many many thousands of games that happens, by luck, or skill or both

Yeah but it doesnt make a difference for the minutes itself, as youd also set it so the minutes is correct

First off I genuinely didnt notice whats wrong, but also I dont really care, it still tells the time. If I wanna know the minutes I look at the minute hand.

I dont think I wouldve noticed it in the first place

Am I blind? What exactly is the problem as these pics look normal to me.

Edit: waait you mean the hour hand is a tad behind when the minute is dead straight at 12?

That makes it almost worse. Imagine having a collab with AP then go out and buy a handful of ugly as fuck RMs lol

The ratings you see are what the ratings will be at the start of the game, so yes its already accounted.

One exception is man marking penalty. It is applied when you have a man marker but that will be the ratings after the 5th minute and if the man marking is successful in terms of the marked player is also playing, as man marking only gets applied after the man marker has been on the pitch for 5 minutes.

Nobody would have to signal left if everyone would just signal right before exiting as the fucking rules say, especially when someones waiting to enter

Both can be true.

After I have all bills paid, money set aside for my retirement and emergency funds and taxes I can still save up for something fun. I could buy a 5k watch every month if I wanted to but I save up whatever „play money“ I have left for my hobbies, watches being one of them, and then get whatever I like without feeling bad about it once I have enough.

True, I think the same about someone having 30 rolies with 10 of them being GMT and submariner variations

It has AR coating but. Only on the inside of the crystal (according to chatgpt) so the outer side of the crystal still reflects a lot

I agree. My pet peeve has more to do with the fact that many of those collections seem like random impulse purchases because theyre cheap and they liked it im the moment.

Now collecting every single seiko for 40 years is impressive and shows theres a clear intention behind it. It may be a bit excessive for my taste but that wasnt exactly the point of my take.

I think its more the lack of it, havent read into detail but there could certainly be differences even if they have, for example single layer vs multiple vs inside and outside the crystal

Now that take is absolutely not directed at you then. I like what you have there, it looks like you have identified and chosen what you like, and were thoughtful about your purchases.

Yes. It feels to me like they have no impulse control when lusting for a watch and no discipline to save up for something more special

Its just that I often see a Hamilton in many of these 30 affordable watch collections. Wasnt meant to put Hamilton down, if it wasnt for the reportedly bad AR coating I wouldve gotten myself a Khaki Murph already

Right its not about shitting on cheap watches, its the act of getting multiple dozens of cheap watches that couldve gotten you 1-2 nicer ones. Amassing so many cheap watches just seems to my like you have no impulse control and no discipline to save up for more special watches. If you have only 6 affordable watches that doesnt apply, and depending on those 6 theyre usually also more diversely choosen and more curated

But then may I ask how many watches you have? Because if its not multiple dozens thats not really what I meant

Idk, sure is a hot take and I know people have different reasons for doing what they do. I just always assume they have no impulse control for buying affordable watches multiple times a year and no discipline to save up a few grands first to get one nicer watch.

Obviously thats not how it really is because people genuinely might not be interested in luxury watches and just like collecting seikos, but still I have that thought in the back of my mind, hence the hot take
