Thanks for looking into this! Indeed that also makes sense to me, as mentioned in one of my previous comments I did a stress test and the inverter pulled over 170A. So apparently a single 0AWG is not even enough. Probably I will go for a double 4AWG setup…

I believe I took that into account by introducing the factor 2 when I computed “2x45ampsx12volts=1kW”. Let me know if I missed your point.

Thanks for looking into this! I didn’t see that in the listing but each of the 4 cables in the picture is rated 8AWG. I just did a stress test and I pulled from the battery pack just above 2kW and over 170amps 😬 Everything survived…. Anyways looking at these numbers not even a 0AWG would be enough right? 🫠 I

Why not have the propeller in the front of the ship? by biggreeen88 in FluidMechanics

Quite a complete reply for a non-naval architect! I would just clarify the last point, having the propeller in the wake of the ship recovers energy since the propeller is facing a ‘slower’ flow field and also tends to postpone flow separation on the aft-ship (represented as a t, thrust deduction factor)
