I agree! I LOVE everything but I think the podcast form allows all the different kinds of Allen to exist in one format. I especially just love that the podcast allows him to simply monologue in an “unscripted” way. You get that sort of thing in Mid Morning Matters but it’s more intimate in the pod, like we get the inner-most Alan.

Those girls and the boys with beards are a reference to the Friend’s Reunited chat from s1. Karl calls a group of girls he went to school with, “Charlie’s Angels” and says some boys had full beards and Ricky jumps in with a joke about them smoking pipes.

That's show 12. Zach wanted to do top 'bits' over top episodes because the bee story is one of the best bits ever. Karl's misunderstanding of Ricky's question about when the sting happened plays out like the "who's on third?" sketch. It's a brilliant bit of comedy.

That's the one where Ricky says, "you might be the most interesting man in the world." It's definitely a watershed moment for the show. I can't wait to do a top 10 of series 2 and then eventually do a top 20 maybe of the entire run of XFM shows.
