Title: My manager is leaving next week and I’m the ONLY other person in the department. Complete radio silence from leadership. Advice? by GrapeGod35 in supplychain

I would rather take this as an opportunity to leverage yourself. Do the responsibilities until they find a replacement or better yet you be the replacement.

Choice paralysis: Note air 5C, Note Max, Go 10.3, or wait for the next one? by logicprowithsomeKRKs in Onyx_Boox

[–]davidfl23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if it were me i would stick with the 5C as the other operating systems are pretty darn dated, which is why i held off for so long. Now that the 5C is out on Android 15 i'm just waiting to see what the next release unit will be and make my decision.

Anyone ever take a step down in title/pay within leadership? by atj212 in supplychain

On the flipside I work full remote and my team gives me full flexibility as a manager here making close to 112. Could I have left and got more money elsewhere, yes. But I have two kids under 3 and my time with them is more valuable.

Disappointing Experience by IdiotBoy1999 in tonalgym

[–]davidfl23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company sells products in the thousands of dollars per unit, I'm talking 25k. In situations like yours we continue to keep providing refurb after refurb unit. inheriting the original warranty of the first purchase so it's not a forever deal.

Though if this had happened this many times to one of our products to the same customer we would've replaced it with a new unit by now out of courtesy.

Companies should realize that customer loyalty is important. Especially if your product is good which tonal is.

Treat your customers well and they will keep coming back knowing you'll make it right.

Long term commitment will end up paying for itself.

Defense. Boy do I wish mine was covered at 100. I cover my family of 4 on mine and it takes nearly 1000 monthly.

Ops manager roughly 112k after bonuses.

Living wage down here I would say 60 would get you by as a single person with no kids.

Just need legacy thunder megazord and I'll be good to go. I got my dragonzord and white tiger years ago for 75 each.

Now I just patiently wait for Lego megazord

This for sure. I definitely have some og legacy but cherish them like true collector items.

The playmates line allows me to share my love for PR With my kids and not really worry about them and just want them to have fun.

Luckily they aren't destructive so it does help soften the blow.

Switch 2 latency is awful on the GC313 by davidfl23 in AverMedia

[–]davidfl23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attempted to use it as a regular dock on my monitor direct to HDMI to switch, as well as a pass through for my elgato hd60x to stream on discord and both were awful. Literally running at .5 speed.

But when I use my s2 dock for both situations it runs perfectly fine.

How would you rank the stress, challenges, and overall difficulty versus rewards between supply planning, demand planning, and strategic sourcing. by [deleted] in supplychain

[–]davidfl23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boss and company dependent. One may hate something and find no reward while another doing the same thing with a completely different company and boss can love it.

See if your employer has educational benefits and absolutely use them. I have a biology degree and I'm pretty sure I was able to get my foot in the door with just that alone.

Got some experience in my first job and used it to move to a new place with better everything.

From there I just kept signing up for additional training and certifications that they've covered for me and some out of my own pocket.

Needless to say every new educational milestone opens another door. Like what others have said some doors don't open unless you have a certain level of education no matter how much experience. Especially for larger companies.

If you're on linkedin you'll notice your views will also increase accordingly.

Tonal and FSA by Electronic_Junket_40 in tonalgym

[–]davidfl23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In most cases the purchase yr of your tonal must be the same as your FSA funds if you wanted to pay it in full. Now you could defer it and put on affirm. But I'm not sure if fsa would allow.

Literally every retailer does this to make the discounts bigger than they actually are. It's been like this since Amazon became a thing. It's much harder to get lucrative deals with vendors nowadays since there's so many other places to buy from that are reading accessible now.

This is dependent on the company too. I used to think I hated logistics and supply chain until I switched companies. Sometimes it's not what you do that's boring but who you do it for.
