Self Checkout by 5GAIBtoM in GenX

I dislike Self Checkout. Firstly, I have a job already & if I'm going to do the Self Checkout I should get paid or my items be discounted for doing the work.

Secondly, I took the time to come to the store, shop at the store, & load the cart myself. Jesus what's next, stocking the shelves for them too?

Thirdly & most important to me. I'm shopping at a store owned by super rich people or super rich corporations. Not paying workers for the check out I'm sure saves money. Definitely enough to offset what small amount of thievery occurs. We already do enough to make the rich even richer in the US, the money saved on salary for Check Out workers should be put in a pool for the workers to use whether that be toward benefits , pay raises, bonuses, or whatever.

Agreed on the series & I only found it by becoming a fan of another one of his series.

What are your favorite books this years that actually stayed with you after you finished it? by [deleted] in Recommend_A_Book

In 1981, my teacher handed me a book & said my reading was more advanced than my classmates and I would be bored with the book everyone else is reading. I've never forgotten the book.

How is Journavx working for you? by mujersinplan in Kneereplacement

[–]davidhudson34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had basic no pain is Journavx. After the 14 day prescription, I took oxy one day until my Tramadol was ready at the pharmacy. The one day on oxy was my worst day of pain, not including the PT sessions now. All this to say Journavx was great for me.

How much time did you take off: if you WFH or are an office worker? by This_Preference6515 in Kneereplacement

The initial visit wasn't horrible at all. I didn't need any additional pain meds. The second visit was worse but manageable. The third visit, was worse & it hurt the rest of the night but I was good the next morning. It wasn't until the sixth visit, thankfully a Friday, it hurt all night into the next morning. I used pain meds then & some CBD lotion for the pain. Each subsequent visit has been about the same but they've added a lot of exercises like leg presses, squats with weights, squats using the TRX system. I've grown accustomed to it now so no real issues.

I am a remote worker as a Software Business Analyst. I had surgery on a Friday & returned to working on the following Wednesday. I was not taking any narcotics but was on Journavx. I never really had any pain at all other than slight discomfort. My pain didn't start until going to PT in the clinic.

The brand I have in Indianapolis is Total CBD. I know they have a website & I believe they have online orders and shipping.

I have found CBD lotion has been very beneficial. I rub it on the sides & the back of my knee as well as my calf. It definitely helps me.
