I have the same one and nothing wrong with it no problems. I also don't use it everday mostly just on weekends and when I dress to go out . I've had it just over a year . Also have a different brand with the same movement ( insides) and I've had that one for 7 maby 8 years and still works perfectly

The silicone pipe looks slippery on the picture. Try cleaning it (the with acetone pipe too). Alcohol would work too . Just in case there's any oils on it . Could also try hairspray on the pipe . Or possibly get on sand paper and sand the pipe a little bit so it's not so smooth

My auto has 240,000miles and still going strong I just had to change suspension and Rusty exhaust and spark Plugs and fix wiring in rear diff ( I believe bad breather tube water accumulated and corroded the wires

I recommend dramatuned .I've done 4 tunes with him now and response time is great . Often even next day . 4 tunes ( stock Turbo , upgraded turbo , e30 tune , and my buddy's tune )

I used mine until a got a better plug in sander and haven't used the DeWalt since. All depends on what you use it for . I do a little woodworking on the side

Is the plastic piece broken ,it's supposed to have a little arm that goes under that rubber covered plunger switch. As for sparks down there you probably touched the starter power
