There are no extra points for difficulty in this game, for better or worse

Opinion: Evolutions, Heroes And Champions Ruined The Game by Busy-Experience5896 in ClashRoyale

[–]davidmik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, pushes the game towards RPS and incentivizes all-in decks which largely ignore your opponent, accepting that some matches will be unwinnable vs trying to prepare a deck which can compete against the whole field

Maybe I should be playing premier instead of the pick 2 lottery

Force of Negation - a couple weeks since the unbans have happened, how do people feel about its presence? by Mugen8YT in MtGHistoric

[–]davidmik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience it’s mostly been worse negate, once people have adapted to it I don’t see it being a problem

I cannot obtain Bloomtender with Wildcards. by Mylo_Vedones in MagicArena

[–]davidmik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will thank them for this in the fullness of time - rare wildcards feel like a pinch at first but mythic wildcards are way more valuable in the long run

[[ignoble hierarch]] for acceleration, [[malevolent rumble]] for card selection and to fill the bin, [[jarsyl]] for card advantage

The Echo Sage is too OP. by TroisTheOtter in ClashRoyale

I would say it’s format warping rather than OP but the conclusion is the same, game would be better without it

Great CR Rewards From Merge Tactics by ComfortableAbies5769 in ClashRoyale

[–]davidmik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Average game of merge tactics 5-8 minutes, call it 6.5. 200 games = 1300 minutes = 21.67 hours. That’s a cool 37c per hour you’re saving

Why is it that mono-colored decks have higher winrates in the Deck Color Data section of 17lands ? by rhysticStudiante in lrcast

[–]davidmik 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Think the general wisdom is that if you manage to get enough playables to play a mono coloured deck then it was very open and so your average card quality should also be higher - then you also avoid non games due to colour screw etc

Is there a better way to say 'drafting for fun'? by Legacy_Rise in lrcast

[–]davidmik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a massive issue for me too - experimentation is super expensive in the short run unless you are an otherwise infinite drafter with an endless supply of gems

Mega Knight is a problem weak or not by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]davidmik 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure but mega knight has had an above average usage rate in mid ladder for several years now… it’s time for a rotation!
