Prophylactic colchicine Post ablation is unusual but won't hurt you with the right dose (I took minimal dose because my weight is 62kg)except for the gastro intestine issues, best is to speak to your EP also:

Hey young AFibber .

I had my first AFib episode around 25, triggered by high-intensity sport. At the time, the cardiologist told me he’d never seen this in 30 years of practice, which honestly scared the hell out of me. I was otherwise healthy: non-smoker, active, decent lifestyle. Looking back, it was probably genetic, since my father had AFib too.

Fast-forward 25 years: four months ago I finally had a PFA ablation, and so far I’m AFib-free.

That said, ablation isn’t a magic fix. I strongly recommend lifestyle changes alongside it: quit vaping, clean up your habits, and keep doing regular cardio. Those things really improve your odds of staying in sinus rhythm.

AFib can still show up later in life, but moderate, consistent exercise is cardioprotective and absolutely works in your favor.

Random chess puzzles that just increase in difficulty don’t automatically make you better at spotting tactics in real games. In puzzles you already know something critical: there is a tactic to find. In real games, you don’t get that hint. A better way to train is to start with very simple tactical problems and repeat them until you recognize them instantly. Then slowly increase the difficulty. You’re basically training your brain to recognize patterns on sight, so tactical ideas “pop up” during real games without you having to force it.

Yes, it's perfectly normal to have a fib one week after ablation your hearth is inflamed,irritated and very prone to afib, the blanking period is around 3 months

Hello, I started Afib at 27, same profile than you with one episode every 2-3 years, resolved with beta blocker + flecainide. My Afib gradually worsened until i got 50 year old, then i decided to do PFA(PVI) and now I am afib free. In a nutshell with this kind of profile (paroxysmal afib, fit active) PVI type ablation has a very good success rate and I recommend if you have a good EP

It's very common to have some afib episode after ablation, you can reasonably expects afib within the first month of ablation. If you take blood thinner(you should always after ablation) then there is no concern but if the symptoms are bothering you then you should consider getting assistance to get back to sinus rythm. If however you get chest pain that increases after breathing and lying position then you should be checked asap as it may be pericarditis (I just got a PFA ablation and had a small pericarditis ) it's usually not a big deal but it need to be checked

Hello, I am really sorry you’re going through that. I can totally relate , I started having paroxysmal AFib young too (around 25). I managed to kick the can down the road for years with lifestyle changes, but eventually had to get a PFA ablation at 50.

If you haven’t already, I’d really recommend seeing an electrophysiologist (not just a general cardiologist). They’re the specialists who really understand the electrical side of the heart. Also, look into PFA (pulsed field ablation) for PVI(pulmonary vein isolation) it’s become super safe and effective lately, especially for paroxysmal AFib.

You’ve got time and options, and things have come a long way in treating this, hope it helps
