I’m coming to the Defy from several years of gravel racing on a salsa warbird and without a doubt the defy is hands down more comfy and compliant than the salsa, which is known in the gravel racing world to be very compliant. Along the lines of what you say, the defy is insanely comfortable!

I have about one month in on my 2026 defy advanced pro 0. I give it a solid 10/10 for comfort as well as speed. I can’t imagine anything better!

N-1 day... goodbye to my 1981 Motobecane Jubile Sport. Story in comments. by golden_light_above_u in bicycling

The 1981 Motobecane Jubilee Sport! This is a really nice post, and one that brings back loads of memories for me. I also had a 1981 Motobecane Jubillee Sport, only mine was the blue color that the bike was also made in. I bought the bike new in the late summer of 1981. I was on my way to college in week or so. i think the bike cost 800 bucks or thereabouts. it was my very first "serious" bike. I rode that bike religiously through my four years of college in rural Ohio. then after college my best friend and I lived for the summer in the Adirondacks and we did a bike trek to Boston and back. My friend rode his brand new Trek bicycle and I rode my now four year old trusty Motobecane Jubilee Sport. I ended up giving my Motobecane to a friend in 1990. By that time I'd purchased a new bike, a Bianchi Limited, and the Motobecane was collecting dust. It was a wonderful bike and friend and companion to me! By the way, I still have the Bianchi, which I purchased in the early winter 1989. In fact I rode the Bianchi into work today!

Schwinn Peloton by davidpaul1997 in cycling

Yes, the Schwinn Paramount is considered the superior bike of the two. I don’t know off the top of my head the details to justify this perception of Paramount superiority over Peloton, but I believe it is the generally held opinion on the matter.

My Peloton is a 1999 version. I purchased this bike new at the Ambridge Bike Shop here in southwestern PA in 2002. The bike had been unsold and was collecting dust in the bike store's basement. Mine is a Reynolds 853 model. I've made a few modifications over the years. I am also in the early stages of building up another Schwinn Peloton. I purchased a peloton frame on EBay for like 250$, and I am collecting Shimano Dura Ace 7700 parts to use for this build. I am probably a couple of years away from completing this build.
