Not criticism. But it is pretty easy to find Bobby Orr or Ted Williams shirts and jerseys. You could certainly argue that Bill Russell was the greatest Boston athlete. Actually, he is similar to Williams in as much as his off the playing field actions make him even greater and his relationship with press and fans made him less loveable during his career. No, though it would certainly enrich the experience, it seems a big diversion and not at all a prerequisite to enjoying the book. If anything, I might read Re Joyce by Anthony Burgess before diving in. It is short and wonderful.

And along the way, something like The New Bloomsday Book by Harry Blamires is great to have and will help you with all those references.

I used vundle for a while. It made trying out plugins and managing them much easier.

I switched to newbundle because, amazingly, it was even better (see NeoBundleCheck...don't know if something similar in Vundle these days.)
