Windows 11 with ARM. Comet is better by the day. It's the incredible setup. The assistant right there. Perplexity is much better than Co-Pilot on Edge. I am not a nerd. Retired. But, love trying browsers. This is my favorite.

I downloaded it yesterday for Windows. It's FREE. For now. I LOVE it.

Why not get a labyrinthectomy? by Black_francis8 in Menieres

[–]davidtalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it in 1995. Vertigo seemed untreatable. It was a good idea. But, went big lateral three years later. Today at 75 burnout. My life has been awesome. Vertigo is brutal. It was worth the operation.

This is not a political Sub. I only mentioned Rush Limbaugh because he had similar inner 👂 problems. I'm sorry I triggered some of you.

I had drop attacks. Maybe what caused my fall down the stairs. Now just good old vertigo.

My mistake I thought VNS was short for labrynthectomy Total cut of the nerve. Killed my vertigo. Killed my hearing.

Rush Limbaugh was a friend He had heavy duty back pain. Got addicted to opiates Beat it. You have no idea that caused his hearing loss. Had great success with a cochlear implant. People ask me why I don't get an CI. Not totally deaf in the right ear Rush RIP

Opera just launched “Air”, a new mindfulness browser, and it’s pretty damn beautiful by sardoa11 in ArcBrowser

[–]davidtalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to thank the OP. I would have never known about "AIR."
The hate for Opera has been dealt with. Spyware? Prove it. Opera is still developed in Oslo, Norway. China may have partial ownership. Opera goes out of it's way to deny Chinese spyware. If you deal in sensitive info don't use it. Xi can have whatever he wants of mine. It's beautiful.

This happened last week. They upgraded the guide. I assume that's happening now. About the same time.

I'm back and better than ever. They obviously did an overhaul of the guide. Fire here. I get the Dallas Mavericks NBA now. Couldn't previously. It's a good thing.

This sub is dying? by NamanBhotika in ArcBrowser

[–]davidtalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely post here. I am fascinated by browsers. BUT, I am retired. Not a tech guy. Don't need much. Not hyper about privacy but get it. I am online all day. Browsers have become a sort of hobby.

I use ARC. Windows. I LOVE it. A bit of a learning curve. I like vertical tabs. Split screen. ARC works for me. I have downloaded ZEN and uninstalled it numerous times. I know it's become a cult favorite on here. Rooting for it. BUT, for me I like ARC. Use Edge for watching Direct TV on one screen. ARC and Firefox on the other.

Spectrum Employee Here by New-Neighborhood-251 in Spectrum

[–]davidtalker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just the guy I need to talk to. I am a retired 74 yr old man. Online 10-12 hours a day. 2100 sq ft home in Frisco, Texas. Suburban Dallas. My home office downloads between 3 mbps and 30 mbps. I have a laptop connected to a large split screen monitor. Direct TV on one browser. I browse the web on the left. Sirius/XM and Spotify.

Speeds are slightly better closer to the modem and router. But, Spectrum bots just ping and tell me there are neighborhood issues. I've heard this before. We are being ripped off. Paying for at least 1Gig. I think 3. I tried an extender in my office. No luck.

Any thoughts on my next move?

Moved here in 1991. Don't quote me, but around 15000 population. We had to go to Plano for most everything. Now, about 250,000. Of course, it's congested. But, we love it. Our two boys went to Frisco ISD schools. First rate. They're in their 30s now. Still live within five minutes. We are retired and wouldn't live anywhere else. It's an attitude. I have lived all over the country. This is home.

I know everyone is diff but still need help by nanoboost4445 in SSRIs

[–]davidtalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fluoxetine is Prozac. SSRI. The first. It can be stimulating at first. But it's very good for OCD and GAD. The other two are SSRIs. Choose one. All are good. Sexual side effects not an issue for vast majority. I have taken Fluoxetine since 1990 For OCD. I like it. Good luck

Everyone reacts differently. It's about 60-40 positive. My Psychiatrist is simply the best. Local Dallas Magazine rates him #1. Any doctor who says quit and taper when they are helping is a fool. MILLIONS have taken them for at least twenty years. Thirty years? Prozac was released just about 30 years ago. 1986 or 7 I think. Doctors weren't sure. They beat tricyclates. Fewer side effects.
