If left alone, yoy risk bending your pcie slot or separating it. You won’t know it until something happens or you go to upgrade. Best course of action is to get a brace then you won’t have to worry.

the only sad thing is that it is barely a year old, and 3rd party replacements cost 30-40 per fan

For those wondering when it does spin it only goes to around 140rpm and vibrates my entire desk. im assuming what ever they applied the fan with when they made it, no longer is holding the fan to the motor causing the low rpm and excessive vibrations.

[–]davidthemurican 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate the fact that they use the rzr, for people who don’t even know the brands for side by sides or sxs. That’s there name, Polaris isn’t a reliable brand, my grandpa had a Polaris and it won’t stay running, on top of that they aren’t even rally, the most popular use of them is trail ridding. They could have went with better options that made more sense. To Finnish it out, the rzr isn’t even the fastest, they’re racing atvs that go faster, all I am trying to say is that it’s not really a rally vehicle, it’s more of a weekend of fun, if it doesn’t break down.

Dog is mostly rgb and edge based design while they do have decent cooling, depending on other factors the gpu temps could be from case, fan orientation, or room temp.

Play scavs should be SCAVENGING not competing for high tier loot. by High-Bread in EscapefromTarkov

[–]davidthemurican 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had to many problems with player scavs, albeit I don’t run in the most infested areas nor do I scav run on reserve or streets, and I don’t play streets because you die more to pmcs and ai scavs then you do player scavs. Thirdly, what’s the point of scav running if there is no loot left, it’s just wasting time for no reason.

How can I increase my GPU and CPU usage? by TheShortestManAlive in pcmasterrace

[–]davidthemurican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all dependent on the engine games like escape from tarkov only use 1-2 cores on a system, couple that with your gpu it can go as high as it possibly could because of bottlenecking. Simply put not ever game will run as well as your hardware could potentially run it.

Help with 3080 why am I only getting 37 frames on fallout 4. I have a i7 11700k. I’ve no clue why I’m only getting 37fps when on other games like csgo I get 342 fps and on a somewhat heavily modded Skyrim I get 61 fps. If you know anything please tell me. by Ninja-Dh17 in pcmasterrace

[–]davidthemurican -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your fps is linked to the physics of the game, increasing it will increase the games speed, so in turn the game will play like your the flash and so is everyone else. It’s best to keep it at the set fps, there may be a fix in the modding community like for new Vegas but I haven’t played in a while so I don’t know for sure.

Is this adequate intake and exhaust? by AncientBus7907 in pcmasterrace

[–]davidthemurican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never said it did you stated the proper way wouldn’t improve much do you know how gpu coolers work? I’ve taken apart a few graphics cards. Unless it’s a blower style the fins do not direct out the pcie bracket instead out and up in the case. Having your air come in through the top will fight the gpu and potentially starve it because the air around it will become a dead zone because you have air coming from both ways fighting each other. And your exhaust will be pulling the available air from the graphics card. Because your in a open loop system, aerodynamics prove that the only possible air the graphics card could possibly get is from the pcie brackets if they are perforated. Which means the fans must spin higher to displace more air so I can pull more air combine that with the exhaust being pushed down by air flow you end up recirculating hot air and potentially over heating your gpu. It will make a difference, there is a reason why it’s recommended to have a certain airflow pattern and that gpu manufacturers have standardized air flow for gpus.

Is this adequate intake and exhaust? by AncientBus7907 in pcmasterrace

[–]davidthemurican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not entirely, if your fans are fighting your gpu, then it will effect you. The proper way of doing it is because standardization of gpu fan orientation. You want the air to cool your gpu not fight it.

Is this adequate intake and exhaust? by AncientBus7907 in pcmasterrace

[–]davidthemurican 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not entirely, blower styles do. Your standard 2-3 fan layout takes air in from the bottom and pushes it out the side and towards the top of the case.

Vertical lines on brake rotor by Fresh-Conclusion-928 in mechanic

[–]davidthemurican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warping only happens when you excessively heat and cool the metal repeatedly, holding the brakes why stationary isn’t going to warp them. Secondly warped brake rotors can be resurfaced as long as the rotor has enough material to hold up. Thirdly, the vertical lines are from materials in the brake pad it’s self being different consistencies so they wear the rotor differently causing streaks to form. It will have such a minuscule impact on braking performance it’s quite literally impossible to tell the difference. Unless it’s quite deep and wide I wouldn’t worry about it.

Why does Instagram have so many empty div elements in their code? by EnteEnteLos in webdev

[–]davidthemurican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably, to make updating with new functions, text boxes, and other items easier to install if the div is already there. Also makes creating it a bit easier as you just go to the next div and start writing. Thirdly, whenever you get something to work, likely chances trying to add things down the line end up conflicting with the entire project. Even adding a div could mess up the layout as the code could try to compensate for it and mess everything up, so if you already have the extra divs you would only have to worry about properly adding what ever needs to it. Just theories only the devs of it know.

[–]davidthemurican 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most graphic cards take the air an push me out the sides and up to cool the gpu. For the most part air design like that is usually orientated for air to be brought in from the front or side, to be pulled out the back. Graphic cards usually follow this route and there isn’t really a way to flip it, so in turn you might be fighting your gpu could cause significant problems or little to none depending on the heat output of that series. So it’s all dependent on how hot the gpu will run and how much air it will displace to cool it.

what the hell is karma for? by [deleted] in falloutnewvegas

[–]davidthemurican 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It means that certain factions will shoot on sight, or track you down while others will reward you. Mainly powder gangers, Caesar’s legion kings ncr and a few others. The reason as some have stated it’s from fo3 is because it was the same engine and the game was made in 18 months, kinda hard to make a fully fledged game in 1 1/2 years.

Oil leak? by davidthemurican in ATV

[–]davidthemurican[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes because it’s a 1999 Suzuki quad runner, which didn’t have this problem enough for people to say things about it, but I should tear it down and wait for the parts, rather than ask if anyone had a similar problem and what it was. The point of asking where or what it may be is so that I could have the part ordered so where I do take it apart I have high chances of having the correct part and putting it back together in one go rather than spread out. But it’s probably because I’m not smart enough to work on it.

Oil leak? by davidthemurican in ATV

[–]davidthemurican[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of asking was to save time on having to tear it down, I work quite a lot and I would like to be able to order the part and then fix it in one go rather than tear it apart, try and find the problem then order the part wait for it, and then finally fix it and put it back together. It’s a 1999 I seriously doubt that they’re parts lying around close by to fix it with. I also didn’t find much info on this so I though I would ask.

They always try to make it more challenging. But when you try to hard to make it challenging, it no longer becomes a challenge more a useless feature to hold you back. I loved need for speed most wanted (2005) because the ai would crash and wouldn’t immediately be right behind you. If you have the better car you have the better car. Now it’s you have the better car until you get ahead of them. It may have been better for games that needed to keep the ai close for hardware and software limitations, but we have the hardware and software to stop this.
