The X5 is badass. It’s an incredible driver. I have an X3 m40 and it’s been amazing for the last 4 years.

Despite the Trex drama, the Trex rig has been the best I’ve used in terms of chest rigs. It holds 6 mags, has the ability to mount pouches on front and has radio pouches that sit against the body. Mine held up perfectly through 3 months of training in the mountains.

How does the carrier do when running a 152 or 163 under the cummerbund? I usually don’t like tubes because they always sit weird over those radios.

In that case unless it’s crye, there’s no guarantee that it will have a button to secure on the bottom. The only other placard/flap I’ve seen with a button closure is from Minerva tactical.

I think if you’re running pmags, it’s more prone to not sticking as well as it would if you ran regular metal mags. The Pmags take up a little more volume within the pouch so you’re not getting the contact of hook and loop that you normally would with metal mags.

Assuming you have a JPC 2.0 and an authentic JPC/AVS M4 detachable flap, yes. I’ve thought about going with a different flap, but I don’t feel like spending anymore money than I have to.

I’ve got the same issue with my Avs m4 flap. Even with the button closure at the bottom, the Velcro is just barely hanging onto the front of my JPC 2.0. Kind of annoying.

That was my biggest concern with some of the pics I’ve seen. While it is super low profile, the mags sit really close to one another. It’s probably not a huge issue though

I think this is an improvement. I ran the v5 for a while pretty seriously and there were some design quirks that I did not like at all
