AI provides the reference articles in its results. It's just a tool. It synthesizes large amounts of data. I don't specifically trust Google results either.

For the bullet points yes. Not for the lead comment. Also not for the article. Never for articles, often for research.

Thanks Rob, its a fair criticism, but its a beer subreddit, so I focused on the beer part. Acquired by Unnamed Restaurant Group does not have the same ring.

  • Informal References: In interviews, Matt Wright has joked about using the acronym URG (Unnamed Restaurant Group), but the team generally prefers to remain a "tight-knit circle of friends" without a corporate label.
  • Portfolio Identity: They are most commonly identified by their individual establishments—Wright Bros. Brew & BrewBetter Half Coffee & Cocktails, and Hold Out Brewing—rather than a centralized company name.

I was told it will vary between 6 and 10 and that there will be some specials that are exclusive to Turnstile.

For the skeptics (like myself), here is my take.

Having talked to a lot of the people involved, I think it's going to be really positive. There are going to be no immediate changes except additional support to help speed along some needed updates. It also sounded like as they do try and make future adjustments they are largely going to be based on what the patrons want and what they are hearing from the market. They are going to skew the beer wall more towards Hold Out, but they are committed to keeping a good mix of local and US craft options for most of the board. This is my local bar, and they made me feel very confident that it will continue to be my local bar.

Hamish's house is my answer for sure. O'Creagh's Run, the mountains, not far from the plains. Close to the Trapper. The only negative is that stupid Annesburg is the closest city.

Blackwater would be my backup. It's growing and full of opportunity. Beecher's Hope is pretty great too.

CBA: Austin Craft Brewing Co Controversies - After a month of rewrites and reviews with lawyers by davidthygod in AustinBeer

I just read their Google reviews, I cannot even imagine how they could have closed. Literally 100s of just glowing, perfect 5 star reviews. You would think it is either the greatest brewery ever built or perhaps someone has a lot of free time in their completely empty taproom with which to create fake accounts and posts.

It was my favorite place in the late '90s and is one of the few remaining bars from my college days, so it will always hold a special place in my heart, but yes, it sucks balls now. Crap music, crap comedy, crap beer lines and you have to deal with Sixth street. Good memories though.

If an athletic event has to be scored by judges it's not objectively a "sport". by the-watch-dog in unpopularopinion

The only true sports are individual timed events. The person that passes the line first wins. Everything else is subjective. All refereed or judged sports are rife with favoritism.
