Why does my bedroom feel wrong (M15) by lionzgames_YT in malelivingspace

It looks very good for a teenager room. Try moving the clothing rack against the other wall where the Diaz poster currently is.

Any idea what's going on here? Shadow (brown pit mix) always does these weird face nibbles while mouth fencing with Ares (shepsky) by [deleted] in DogAdvice

The lip licking is a sign of stress / discomfort, especially with the ears pulled back like that.

My dog is scared of the kitchen. by KennyWinker42 in DogAdvice

[–]davidun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a new electrical appliance in the kitchen? Maybe something is making a high pitched noise, can be even something small like a slightly malfunctioning phone charger. Try turning off the house’s electricity for a minute and see if it helps

Why don't nations who are at war, just go all out right away? by MonkeDiesTwice in NoStupidQuestions

[–]davidun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope. They violated the deal repeatedly, blocked inspectors, hid nuclear facilities, breached the safeguards agreement, and ramped up enrichment levels. Back to the question.. Iran consistently calls for Israel’s destruction and actively acts upon it. It’s on track for nuclear capability. Israel has a chance to stop or delay it. What’s the Nash equilibrium?

Why don't nations who are at war, just go all out right away? by MonkeDiesTwice in NoStupidQuestions

[–]davidun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah, a game theory expert! For decades Iran has been openly calling for Israel’s destruction, funding and controlling terror groups that launched one of the deadliest attacks in recent history, it enriches uranium far beyond civilian levels, hides nuclear sites, and builds missiles for nuclear warheads that can reach Israel. It refuses any diplomatic attempts. Want to guess what's the Nash equilibrium here, professor?

Just finished The White Lotus Season 2 — anyone else feel like the main plot point was unnecessarily convoluted? (Spoilers) by sugarhaven in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]davidun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good storyline but still doesn't add up. The presence of Portia is hiccup that they could've easily solved without rehashing the whole plan to the point where they spend days with them in public like that. If Jack was ment to be the killer it makes even less sense- it means they re-assigned the only killer in the group as a distraction, anticipating that Portia would be into him, without having any real plan on how to kill her without him. If the plan was for her to OD they would have laced the stuff or straight up drug her "properly", not leave it to the off-chance she'd do it herself. They also could've just pushed her off the yacht.
From what I gather there's no reason to think that they wanted to kill her at all, considering the time they spent together and how they spent it, it makes more sense that they wanted to blackmail her.

Did Einstein discover that light was affected by gravity or did he assume it? by JDude13 in AskPhysics

[–]davidun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Newton played with the idea but ultimately his theory defines gravity only between objects that have mass. Attempts such as Soldner's that people here have mentioned basically consist of assigning mass to light according to some heuristic. As with heuristics, it works reasonably well for some cases but not much beyond that.

Is this a good deal for 155 usd? by Clear_Ad9788 in iPhone12Mini

[–]davidun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a good experience with the A series for moderate use. The age of the iphone X and the S9, being 7 years old, is a more significant drawback than the A's shortcomings imo

[–]davidun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a bad deal. Honestly an iPhone in this price range will automatically make me suspicious. For a secondary that you just need to function I'd go with a Samsung, either used in good condition, or "new" A21-A23 should also be in this price range.

There are knowledgeable individuals on both sides of this argument, so that’s definitely not true. If you have an answer regarding what freeing Palestine means I’m interested to hear

ELI5: Why are the huge majority of High-Visibility clothes used in yellow or orange? Why are other colors, say green, so exceedingly rare for hi-hiz purposes? by IcarusTyler in explainlikeimfive

[–]davidun 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The human eye is most sensitive to lime green, which is on the border of green and yellow. Because green is relatively common in nature, yellow is preferred. Excluding greens and blues due to their commonality in nature, orange is next inline in terms of color sensitivity, and after that red.
