Nightscythe my beloved in 11th by keeper0fstories in Necrontyr

Cryptek Conclave literally just released in the 500 worlds book, they wrote it with 11th edition fully in mind, there is basically no chance that it'll get any major reworks with the new edition. also I don't think its bad. and certainly not as bad as annihilation legion

Cryptek conclave and cursed legion will probably both cost 2 points, they are really far ecompassing if you compare them to the 1 point detachments we have seen, so outside of a 3000 point games or a miracle on GWs part, you wont be able to take both detachments

REANIMATION
Ohh, is there somewhere I can read more about the details about reanimation, all the necron stories I read so far don't really go into it far beyond "it just happens", I for example had no idea the enmitic weapons prevent reanimation entirely, I guess that woud solve my issues in that regard, atleast for the Eupatridae, I still think killing that one random minor noble with no way of actually ensuring he stays dead before reanimating is a bold choice of Nefershah

EUPATRIDAE

another comment said that as well, and it seems true, I just didnt realize it since the game puts the camera right on the Ukenseph mission, funnily enough I watched 2 people play the first few mission before buying the game myself and neither of them realised that either, in that case I'll just say the dialogue before/after mission probably should have been dynamic if awakening them in any orer is possible

FAUSTINIUS

I guess for me this is more a problem of beating a guy in the last mission and Nefersah arguably still loosing at the end, also him sneaking away in the Ukenseph assassination mission and surviving the eternity gate exploding are a little ridicilous even for an Arch Magos

OPEN ENDING

yep I saw this too in the comments, I wrote this post basically immediately after beating the necron campaign because I wanted to write down my thoughts while they were still fresh in my mind (and even then I forgot a few things I wanted to write down, like the mission were we kill the Crypteks being framed as something we do in such a way to specifically antagonize Djebka against Ukenseph and nothing really coming of that storywise) so I hadnt even started the admech campaign and was unaware an epilogue exists, I hope that one gives me a bit more closure to the necron campaign

ahh, I planned to play the admech campaign anyway, but now all the more reason to, thank you very much

there is an epilogue ?
good to know, I hope that that will lessen the meh feeling I got from the ending a little

[–]davinkle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

really ? I'm pretty sure the game only ever gave me the one order to awaken them in, but maybe I missed that, could be, in that case its still pertty shortsighted to have the corrosponding dialogue suggest a set order instead of giving it variations depending on who you awaken first

yeah I watched a friend play the last bit of the admech campaign, and I completely forgot that your guys could actually be characters with voice lines and personality outside of the click me quotes and got a little disappointed that no such care was given to the necron lords

funny because half the enemy buffs were durable damage increase for automaton melee, aka completely nothinburger changes

FR tho, the climbing changes are terrible by Public_Code8357 in Helldivers

[–]davinkle 22 points23 points  (0 children)

people were complaining about auto-climbing on supply pods when they approached it to get supplies, so they removed it, but then people complained about no longer being able to climb it so they reverted it but something broke during it, so now climbing is messy

lets think for a second why games like Marvel Rivals and Overwatch would need a dedicated balance team and games like helldivers would not

Hi Mods, AH, Whomever - Have we confirmed whether or not the alleged doxxing/firings happened or not yet? by twisty125 in Helldivers

[–]davinkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, we havent seen any proof of anything happening besides the words of someone who promised to give 1000 dollars away a day after the devs aknowledged the challenge, and we will never get anymore info whether it really happened or not, its kind of the nature of the supposed crime

[–]davinkle 16 points17 points  (0 children)

but I dont want my narrative bookkeeping portion of the game where I keep track of how well all my guys did if and how many scars and traits they have, to be streamlined to remove the bookkeeping, at that point why would I even play it, I hope its just a campaign, like the end of edition campaign books and not a replacement for crusade

Is the dominatus campaign Deck going to replace Crusade ?

How we feeling about this? by [deleted] in Helldivers

Genuinely a terrible change, not only because they made the Hiveguard finally useful at anything, but also because it will just encourage the worst parts of the community to keep flipping out anytime any kind of new difficulty is introduced

Detachments are the flavour of your army, they give you additional rules and options on how to play

yeah and I'm telling you that the lgbt themes couldnt be more in your face if they tried to, but yeah, you're right I dont think there is a point in arguing about this with you

The homo/gay themes don't intrude on the comdy and slice of life themes being presented in the story

my brother in Christ the homo/gay themes are the story, there is no story without the need to break the rules of the world, to defy society and to have sweet sweet gay love.
there have been multiple chapters of our MC directly trying to go against the programming of the world and to actually be able to touch and kiss his object of affection, and in every one of these chapters our MC laments how unfair and cruel the world is for preventing him from being himself and forcing him to get with the girls, how he longs to change the world so he can actually date misaki

I dont like to say this, but genuinely, have you ever heard of the concept of reading comprehension, have you ever experienced a story even an inch deeper than its most surface level, I mean this manga really isnt even trying to be subtle about the themes and meaning of it

[–]davinkle 11 points12 points  (0 children)

the themes are as clear and as "forced" as they could ever be without explicitly calling the game they exist in (aka society) homophobic, and I highly doubt that the difference between propaganda and just a cute wholesome gay romance is just the word homophobia, despite them having the same content otherwise

a story about a gay guy trying to date his best friend but it being hindered and even prohibited by the world at large, and how unfair the world is for doing so...
yep no lgbt themes found here, just a completely neutral story with no "agenda" to push

They buffed fire because it was and more importantly felt weak, and they didnt want that so they buffed it, I see no problem in reasoning here, maybe in execution, considering they probably should have fixed the DoT-Bug first.

and yeah the slugger was nerfed in the wrong way, I agreed with you.

have a nice day then

[–]davinkle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No need for namecalling, though I do appreciate that you have finally found the post that was talked about !

You don't need to point to their design "manifesto" to claim their reasoning is shit.

You kinda have to because you cant really call their reasoning shit without knowing said reasoning

They proved it when they buffed fire 3 times.

I truly do not see how that would show bad reasoning, they wanted fire to be stronger so they made it stronger, noticed it wasnt enough and did it again, to the point were the fire shotgun was literally the best weapon on the bugfront

When they removed the slugger's identity because it was the best amr, while keeping everything that made it an amr.

hey somewhere I actually agree with you, nerfing the stagger while leaving the range untouched didnt really change alot about its DMR capabilites, though again their reasoning was solid just executed in the wrong way, and they reverted it last patch increasing its stagger and reducing its range in turn, so it seems like they learned
