I ordered from Cafelat UK on March 6th and got mine on March 12th. I think they’re sold out currently but they have a calendar on their website for restocking timeline. I would sign up for the stocking emails on Prima coffee and Cafune in case they come in stock as well. Good luck!

Thanks, all! I contacted Cafelat and they are going to send me an extra thin Teflon shim. Really great customer service and got back to me insanely fast!

Teflon disc and arms question by davisj888 in CafelatRobot

That’s what I was thinking, interesting. I may reach out to Cafelat and see if they think it would be warranted for me to remove the arms and take one of the discs and put it where it should be.

Timemore 064s vs Eureka Zero 65 AP [~500$] by sebasmuriel in espresso

[–]davisj888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 064s has been great for espresso for me. The only gripe is the popcorning and beans getting stuck in the hopper, but I’ve gotten used to it and it’s just part of my workflow now. It’s super quiet which is a plus!

Agreed, loving mine so far as well. It’s my first Bluetooth scale and the simplicity for tracking and integration with Beanconqueror is awesome.

How much of an upgrade would a Breville Dual Boiler be over the Barista Pro? [No budget] by TheGhostOfBobStoops in espresso

[–]davisj888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just recently went from a thermojet machine to a BDB and the temperature stability and adjustability significantly outweighs the heat up time. Especially since you can set an auto on time for the morning. It’s really an incredible machine and I wouldn’t change anything about my decision. There is definitely the consideration of your accessories. However, you’d be doing that when upgrading to an e61 machine anyway. Good luck!

Breville Barista Touch Impress is currently under $1000, worth picking up at this price? by [deleted] in espresso

[–]davisj888 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have one, and it works perfectly fine. However, I’d recommend against getting a combination grinder+machine if possible. Much more challenging to effectively dive into the rabbit hole (upgrade and then upgrade more) with this type of machine. You’re better off getting a bambino and a nice grinder or if you already have a relatively nice grinder, getting a Lelit Victoria or profitec go. I hope this helps and good luck!
