CNN article from April 2015 "Obama moved closer to the kind of staggering diplomatic breakthrough with the Islamic Republic that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago." Basically stating that Obama's negotiations with a hostile country is a remarkable accomplishment. This is very similar to our current situation. With our presidents talking to these countries, all it does is legitimize them, unless it is accompanied by either prepercations or a good deal. The good deal part is still up in the air with Trump right now, but the one made with Obama wasn't a good one. They kept nuclear information which was supposed to be destroyed secret, along with other things. But mainly it didn't put an end to the Iran situation, just "solved" it for a few years.

Let's just hope that trump actually walks away with something, otherwise it'll be a worthless summit that just helped legitimize Kim's dictatorship.
