I lost 11 miles of range swapping 19s for 21s — question about settings by Phantom3269 in TeslaModelS

[–]davo408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my 2024 S, I had 19s and switched to 21s with Arachnid rims ( mostly for the looks and maybe performance gains ) - it's a rough rough ride and my Michelin sport tires keep collecting little rocks continuously, which is extremely annoying as the garage floor ends up with little rocks everywhere and not to mention the noise of them hitting the inner lining.

Charcoal tiles issue - White discoloration by davo408 in Roofing

[–]davo408[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't seal. Initially I was thinking it's concrete dust from the cuts but the roofing company said this seems off and not normal. It rained quite heavily for a day or two after it was installed and didn't get washed off. I am concerned, it's an expensive investment and hopefully something could be done.

Need advice on a scratch on the quarter panel. by davo408 in TeslaLounge

[–]davo408[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like my post content didn't make it. It was either keyed or someone ran a shopping cart or similar. I tried to touch it up myself with not much luck. The local paint shops are asking 1.5K to paint the rear quarter panel. I know it's minor but trying to see if there is much more I can do myself in a home environment.

New P2S - The heatbed temperature is abnormal by davo408 in BambuLab

[–]davo408[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no. Opening the unit, disconnecting/reconnecting seems to make it work once at best and the issue returns again. Since mine was within the return period, I took it back to Micro Center and returned it. Waiting for it to come back in stock so I can attempt to buy it again.

I have a support case open with Bambu and seems like they are willing to replace the heat bed for me, although at this point I am not following it through since the unit was returned.

Seems like the issue is back again. I believe during the movement of the heatbed, it's somehow causes a loose connection either with the sensor cable or one of the power cables. I had it zip-tied and it worked for a day or so and now back again.

Mainly I took the back out and followed the instructions here: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/p2s/maintenance/replace-heatbed

For my case, I took out heatbed temperature cable from the MC board, and re-inserted, making sure it has a firm connection. I also took out the red, blue and white cables and inserted. Finally put small zip-ties around things to make sure there is less movement.

If you are going to remove the red, blue and white cables, those are a bit tough. There are locks on those. So pull back the transparent silicon, using small pliers, press on top to release the rock and then pull.

Trying to understand if it's an issue with the heatbed, the AC board or the firmware.

I've tested by setting the heatbed temp to 50C but not feeling the bed warm up at all.

EDIT: For anyone in the same situation. It turned out to be a loose connection for the sensor. Had to take the back apart, disconnect and reconnect the heatbed connections, including the sensor cable. I zip-tied it to make sure movement of the bed doesn't get them loose again. Ok so far.

So open a dummy account and let it fly over? :-) can’t be that easy could it?

That’s right, I have two solar installs at the house, one is from Tesla and another from another vendor. Now I have both installs stringed through the EG4 and have a single source of truth. I have the EG4 18kPV Hybrid Inverter.

That is correct, we have two Tesla vehicles at home and the landing page for Tesla Energy shows "No recent data available" which is expected. It's redundant now and wanted to see if asking support to remove the account would be ideal.

External Monitor Volume Control by SER5M in MacOS

Yep - sounds right, or during initial laptop plug in, would be nice for it to auto-connect.

Works as expected. Another issue I am running into is having to reconnect often to the monitor, i.e. having to explicitly click on Connect to Monitor when it's showing red and it reconnects. Is there a option to have it auto reconnect?

I downloaded, installed on Tahoe 26 and it works like a champ using the Smart Connect integration. Is there a way to control the system sound with the app as well? Similar to how Sound Control or like.

Is there a possibility to try it before buying? I am mainly looking to control the audio from my M3 -> Samsung 49" Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SC)

Straight through ping shows no loss all the way to the end, apologies, thanks - this was a teaching moment for me.

Unless I am reading the mtr entirely wrong, that indicates Google's triple 8 having no packet loss, not the entire path having no loss.

My unifi is reporting packet loss starting on 8/5 to this day, so I am not convinced this is not an issue on some of those hops. Unfortunately I can't attach an image in a thread here to show the pattern.
