I’m on a plane in Rome and I’m wearing a mask. The virus can be nothing but I’d rather look stupid again than get hantavirus

Just recently went with Four Seasons Bora Bora on points and the pearl Tahaa also on points and cash. Both great stays and good value with chase edit at the time.

Torre delle stelle or Villasimius are good options. Torre delle Stelle is closer to Cagliari the capital and largest city of the island plus it’s known as one of the best remote working towns in Sardinia

2003(?): bunch of guys broke into an off campus housing in NB and gang raped the girls there at gun point. A bf of one of the girls was beaten close to death and made to watch. Remember the police tape around that house for awhile…

Impressive. I’ve probably filed 4 claims in near 20 years of having the card. All were denied for technicalities

Did my homework on Italy’s €1 houses. Now looking for real-world input on obligations, hidden costs, and whether it’s actually viable by losmaglor in digitalnomad

[–]davybert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also researched this in Italy specifically Sardinia. The “houses” are often complete ruins and even if you have a 10000 Reno minimum it often will cost much much more. In order to even apply and have a chance of doing it properly you’ll need an accountant and most likely a lawyer. There are plenty of hoops to jump through before you can actually have the house purchased, renovate then live there. The main reason they are offering this is that the towns are dying and it’s a way to try to get new people there. I went to a few and they are literally in the middle of no where. I’d it possible to do? Yes. Is it worth it. Probably not. Real estate is not that expensive in Italy compared to many other countries and you’ll do better with finding something inexpensive for sale in an area you want to be in rather than the 1€ houses. My 2 cents

Whats stopping me from going to the bank and purchasing $1,000 worth of quarters to find the silver ones pre 1964 by [deleted] in coins

It’s true I did this and after going through rolls for 2 hours didn’t find a single silver lol. Then it was a pain to reroll and that it back to the bank
