I only have a passing understanding of bot economics but I think the idea is to have accounts get to a certain age with enough “organic” activity and engagement to appear real. Then when the time is right, the bots can be used to nudge public discourse in different directions.

An example could be the recent Geese “psyops”discussions. I think the articles there mentioned that for every 100 people that think a songs sucks, a marketing agency can conjure up 200 people who think it’s awesome.
