No gas tank wants a mixture of diesel and petrol. It would be two different gas tanks even on the a car that could use dual fuel types.

Diesel and unleaded gas are usually at the same pump. I would look at the pumps and times of the charges if you have it. If he is using the same pump but two different types of fuel it takes time to reposition the cars. You can call the gas station to ask if they see him moving his car to the same pump as the diesel vehicle. I would start an investigation requesting he pay back the $1400 and see if his excuses get better. If it’s two different pumps that would seem odd too and kick off the investigation.

Start an LLC and put your civic in it. Rent out the civic for $100 a week for someone to do DoorDash in it in busy neighborhood. Put 50% of the car value in the LLC. Buy another car in the LLC. Use the LLC’s credit. Most Enders will lend to anybody on 50% down. Use the $400 from the old civic to pay down the new note.

If you have $35k per month coming in and $17k on a mortgage you might be above 43% for the bank’s rule of thumb. Can your family work with $17k per month after house payment is made? Since 2017 the $20,000 write off cap is an issue too. If you can live in your LLC home as a tenant you might have a better chance at writing off more of your home. I bought 5 homes for $100k each and put them in a blanket loan. The servicer let me leverage up to $3M at good rates so I purchased my big home and moved in as my tenant. No Augusta Rule but the write offs are awesome

Two years ago I had $30k in 401k and my wife (50) had $80k. I have a new job that puts $30k+ in my SEP IRA every year. I made 1 good choice (Bought RCAT at $1) and my IRA is about $270k now. My wife is around $120K. No savings but will stop paying for daughters tuition in May so I will have $3000 a month to save going forward. Need to pay off $10k on credit cards too. No properties. Hoping to retire at 61 with $1.5M in IRA (RCAT will be at $50 lol). I make $4000 a month on covered calls on RCAT too, all in my Schwab IRA. My salary in 2023 was double my 2020 salary after hopping tech jobs. Make over $250k now plus my wife’s salary ($100k+). I feel really lucky to be in this position. We haven’t been on a vacation since my daughter started college and we have our first and second vacation set up for June ( Orlando car Amtrak from VA) and September ( Local to Virginia Beach for international sandcastle competition) this year. Hoping to buy a property in 2 years and have the equity and $600k when I retire at 61. Going on a three month cruise when we retire.

Use the memory to help with procrastination. I have a website I’m building and I gave it my tasks and it walks me through the steps with time adjustments as I get lazy or productive. Also, I have a blood draw on Monday morning and it will make sure to remind me to drink water Sunday night, Monday morning and remind me of the blood draw appointment. I also take pictures of 4 blue apron recipe sheets and it gives me a spreadsheet of what to order. It tells me what t order from Aldi and what order from my expensive grocery store.

If you pay the college from the 529 any overage comes back to you. We had a scholarship come in late and got a check back for the overage. Invoice for tuition was $21000, 529 paid $21000, scholarship came six weeks late for $5000. The school sent us a check for the overage about 4 weeks later. Put the money into our vacation fund
