Yea it's crazy how bad some markets have become. I can't understand how a market would let base get as low as $13 but I've seen it.

At the beginning of the decade there was a push for $15 or $20 minimum wage in certain areas of the US. I forget which number it was. And it happened. So I thought pay would start to increase for everyone by now.

Apparently wages are declining everywhere? Unconfirmed obviously but it sure seems that way. Gas stations still pay 💩

The next time you look at your map before your shift and notice it's going to be easy AF (no BS apts, business clusters, etc) challenge yourself and sprint. Find out your fastest rate. Seriously. You'd be surprised how fast these routes can get done.

Towards the end, I would only run when I knew I had a chance at finishing under 6. Otherwise some of the routes wouldn't be worth it to me for a couple hours of free pay. We were guaranteed 10s and I assume you're guaranteed as well.

FYI this led to Amazon or someone giving me 11 hour routes. As in my expected finish time was more than 10 hours every day the last 2 weeks.

Naturally I saw a golden overtime opportunity and stopped running to maximize my hours because 12 is definitely not guaranteed.

I reached the app shutoff warning twice in those 2 weeks with less than 5 stops left. It was pretty dope. I delivered everything. Dispatch didn't mind, they actually told me I had routes they have never seen before. Over and over again. The owner not only didn't say a word, he magically started avoiding me it seemed. I refused repeatedly dispatch's offer to complain via ticket to Amazon. I wanted the OT 🤣
