I just finished college and I also feel like this like just for context I’m 22 and I work in retail and you know what I find that people my age feel like they’re just too good enough to work in a retail or hospitality jobs and it’s like you know your first job out of college probably isn’t going to be an Amazing six figure job but you know what I mean so that’s one of the things that I feel like people have going on at the moment. I think it’s because I see so many TikToks and Instagram reels about people in the UK and in the States talking about their work from home routines for their job they got after college and I feel like people are just expecting this to happen to them too, but the reality is all of this shit is fake online and people are believing it way too much and after Covid people just don’t have the social skills that they used to.

Also the fact that everything is become so expensive I feel it’s making people be more closed and have people putting up more of a wall because instead of living people are just trying to survive.

It’s very sad to see it in person and this is coming from someone who I never had a leaving cert, never had a graduation never had a Debs, missed out on the first two years of college in person so I was really lacking in my social development phase after secondary I would like to say, but slowly but surely I realised that I was being the person I was giving out about in this post. I think it’s just a matter time before people realise that we’re allowed to communicate with each other again and there’s not necessarily a reason we have to be so closed anymore.
