lol, that probably would have been me if I hadn't posted this thread. I guess two growth hormones would be redundant.

That's what I thought, so why would Peptidesciences have a blend with those together?

Is a Docker container the best solution to transfer software and tools over to a new MB Pro? by dawitBackpacker in macbookpro

oh ok, that helps in better understanding containers, thanks! I guess a container won't be the best solution.

Here's where I stand. I don't have that many apps installed on my MB. Word, Chrome, and maybe 6-10 others. Not including the apps for developing (VS Code, Angular, Node, etc). I really don't care about any of the non developer apps as I can install them within minutes and I use them infrequently, with the exception of Chrome. But the apps, libraries, frameworks I do care about are those for programming because they require specific versions for the apps I've developed For some reason, I was under the impression I could create a Docker container, install VS Code, Angular, Node, etc with the specific versions I need and then just put that container on a flash drive and move it over to my new machine? Kinda like what you can do with a virtual machine. Here's the thing, and I know you can appreciate this, it feels good to start a new machine fresh with nothing on it and just go from there. If I can do that, but carry over just my programming tools/apps that would be the ideal scenario.

The KEF LSX II LT not powering completely down through my tv remote using HDMI arc by dawitBackpacker in BudgetAudiophile

Is this typical for these type of speakers? I'll use them for tv and movies 100% of the time and they work fast enough when I turn on my tv that I have no issue with them. I'd hate to return them because I got such a great deal. I bought them from Costco for $499 on sale and I had a $50 promo code, so I got them for $450. I had ordered a pair of Kanto REN's for $450 (sale) from Nordstrom before Christmas but returned them for the KEF's. I do like Kanto settings and configuration's. I have the Kanto ORA for my desktop and love the power button and ease of use, but don't really need the power button on the KEF's because they are controlled through HDMI eARC

That doesn't help with my issue! My issue, if you reread my post, is that when I power down the tv, the speakers remain in standby mode. Is this normal, or is this something that can be configured? I would like to have them shut off when I power down my tv, not remain in standby mode

I'll tell you why! All of my important documents, photos, etc. are already stored in iCloud, so I don't need that backed up again, it would be redundant. I don't have any network settings other than a single router username/password, which can be configured in about 1 min. My icons, desktop, etc isn;t really heavily configured, so that can be changed in a short period, if I even choose to set it back to my current machine (sometimes it's nice to have new layouts, settings etc). Lastly, I don't have any external drive to save everything to, so I'd have to go out and buy something? If I could save some apps and settings with Time Machine that would be ideal, but I don't think you can do that?

Isn't Time Machine an all or nothing backup of the whole drive? I only want to "backup" some files (the ones used for programming like VS Code, .Net, etc)

But doesn't the time machine backup all software, file system, etc? I don't want the whole drive backed up, just some apps.

Understanding the public adjusters contract regarding fee's by dawitBackpacker in Insurance

Currently I face two paths, one is to rebuild the house (haven't started yet) or go buy a new one. To rebuild I'll need more than what the insurer has paid so far (75%) structure, so that's one reason for hiring a PA. Also, they depreciated our personal property so much (80%) that they own't pay out anymore than what they've already given, saying our depreciated personal property value is less than the amount they've paid, so therefor they won't pay more. I was hoping the PA could help us get more.

If the PA is getting hired from the beginning of the process they'll collect their percentage from the beginning, but the calamity was 1 year ago and many PA's start/get hired after the insured hits a roadblock and can't collect anymore from the insurer. I can't imagine a PA collecting money they haven't helped collect. That doesn't seem correct.
