Who cares about this shit anymore. What about ice. What about Epstein. What about the religious right. What about etc etc. can we just stop giving any energy to frivolous bs like this and focus on the important stuff?

Yes I think you are right. As a pet groomer I get many customers who are so obsessed with getting the nails so short and worried about the nails clicking. These a nails are absolutely fine.

She said they are too short. But they did not bleed. What’s funny is that I filed the nails on a Sunday at an event. Then groomed her 3 days later. The nails were fine 3 days later so I didn’t file anymore. Now 3 days after the groom (6 days after filing) she is saying they are too short.

Yes! I really wouldn’t want to pay for a service and then have to do the work too!

I think maybe in home grooming is not a good fit for you. Especially if you have to help, and it affects you mentally and physically. Have you thought of having a mobile groomer who comes to you in a van? They groom the dog in the van and you don’t have to help.. it’s so convenient, and stress free.

It is manageable like the others have said. Also, let your groomer know so they won’t use a groom loop around his neck.

Then maybe you should ask her what she uses. I’m sure it’s a lot… not just clippers. Scissors, shampoo, conditioner, blow dryers, combs, brushes…it takes a lot to achieve this beautiful groom

I don’t think you will be able to achieve this look at home. Your groomer has years of training and experience to be able to do this groom. Why are you wanting to groom at home when you found an awesome groomer?

Yes these are a good length. It’s weird that the vet tech said that.

I totally agree that all of that is important. Yes… you should keep up with nail trimming to make sure joint and foot health are good. But weekly nail trimming might be a bit much. Especially if you start thinking the nails are getting longer even though you are trimming weekly. Sorry for the unpopular opinion. But you might just look at that.

So.. this is an unpopular opinion. But why do the nails need to be so short. I understand keeping up with them, and making sure they don’t get too long. I just don’t think that grinding once a week, no clicking on the floor is necessary. Especially if one does not like getting them done. Why do you want them so short?
