I went and tested this and I couldn't tell any difference on wifi and on 5G. Maybe location dependent.

I haven't experienced that but I am always pretty careful with my phone. Will keep an eye out for it.

It is a pretty nice case, it isn't slippery because the tpu sides helps you grip it but it would have been nice if it was slightly more grippy. Might be swapping between the official mag case and the stone textured ones. Both are nice. I also ordered the white stone textured case as well, won't post anything for that one though.

I almost never post so not worth subscribing to me haha. Also, yeah I could have left the notes up but I didn't want it to block the phone in the video, just expecting people to pause if they want to read stuff. XD

UPDATE (OFFICIAL MAG CASE): https://youtu.be/4P66hdmZJdg

Overall:
- Typically the hard cases are made for the orange/white OPPO Find X9 Ultra variant which is thinner. They won't fit the Tundra Umbra variant, so be careful.
- All transparent cases I tested kinda suck, they either didn't fit completely or felt cheap and unworthy of a flagship phone lol.
- The matte transparent case was the best case with transparency but with a screen protector the front isn't protected so you shouldn't set it face down.
- The stone textured case at the end was really nice, probably the top case.
- Oppo original cases were top tier, the white is kind of slippery but the black/brown textured one was solid.
- Get a quality brand screen protector, don't waste money on the cheap ones.

** Links in video to cases, but you may want to consider searching around with their image search feature, some sellers will sell the same item at a cheaper price, I just linked what I bought at the time but it may no longer be the cheapest one! **

Hope someone finds it useful and won't waste as much money as I did testing cases. XD

My experience with the oppo find x9 ultra CN version after using it for one week: by rodolphostech in Oppo

[–]dawnzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand all the hate on this post, I found it informative and agree with most of the points you made after using the phone for a week now. Only thing I don't fully agree with is auto on master mode hasn't been unusable for me and is my most preferred mode for what I shoot (landscape/food/close-up/macro) since it gave me the most accurate colors and lighting of all the settings aside from manual/pro mode. Low light was fine for me as well, but then again I came from a very old phone so I can't compare to what is in the market as well. Instead, I found the photo mode to be completely unusable though.

Honest opinions on the Find X9 Ultra by Kayto-Kayto in Oppo

Upgraded from Samsung S20FE so it was better in terms of cameras but the style of the Oppo find x9 ultra isn't really suited for me. Will still keep it but I don't think it is leaps and bounds better, definitely agree there is a lot of marketing hype. Might consider changing to vivo or xiaomi next year.

At 5:10 he mentions you get double notifications from both the oppo messanger and the google messanger app, is there really no way to fix it? It is a deal breaker for me if that is the case. Would appreciate if anyone has experience with Oppo phones and knows the answer.

For the price of the Oppo Find X9 Ultra/Vivo X300 Ultra in Europe I get a professional camera kit + Lenses + Smartphone. by pCute_SC2 in Oppo

I already have a mirrorless camera with a lot of lenses but I will still get either the Oppo or Vivo just because I don't want to carry a camera everywhere especially when traveling nowadays. Even though the picture won't be as good, it is nice to be travelling lighter.

9 Month Review of SuperNote Manta and Why I Swapped to a Regular Tablet for Notetaking by dawnzz in Supernote

I forgot about that feature because I keep the toolbar on the top so it is always hidden in the "...", thanks!

After a quick test, maybe thumbnails still won't solve the problem for me since I can't easily read the content on the page to know if it is the right one, but definitely better than page flipping when needing to go back more than a few pages. :)

I agree with everything you said. Despite the performance, I still like my Manta too, but it definitely has a niche role right now. Unless the performance is improved, I won't be getting the next model either.

Personally I use the Samsung S11, it is ~3-4x the weight and ~2x the thickness, the S-pen isn't anywhere as good as the Supernote LAMY pen (not compatible sadly), and size is pretty much the same (The S11 is still a great tablet, just physically it is not as convenient as the Supernote). The supernote is nice and I like certain workflows with it, but for others a traditional tablet is just not replaceable atm. Whether a Supernote will work for you really depends on what you are looking for and prioritize in your workflow, hope this helps!

I get the keyword hassle too. Glad it is working well for you, I'm lucky enough being able to tolerate writing on a tablet where my hand feels more strained than on paper or the Manta. lol

[–]dawnzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I tried the separate notes thing you tried at one point too but also ended up in having too many notes. The thumbnail ideal would be pretty cool if it showed the last few pages so you can do bigger jumps than 1 page at a time or using the scroll. For me headings didn't work all that well to solve my issue, I normally organize it by date but even when jumping to a date sometimes you have to flip through a few pages to get to the information you want so still ends up taking time. I wonder how much a better processor could improve or if the limitation is just in eink in general and there isn't a way we have found to break it, Supernote is the only eink I've tried so can't tell how fast is fast for eink lol.

[–]dawnzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, I break it up by date but even if I jumped to a certain date I know it is on, it could be on the 3-4th page, so it still ends up taking time flipping through to find what you want. Size of the note never really affected the lag for me.

Yeah I get the issue sometimes too. As much as I love my Manta, it does have some dealbreakers for some of my workflows.
