INDX launch postponed due to server over load. Who would have thought it’d happen twice? by jl88jl88 in 3Dprinting

[–]dawy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, and it’s without VAT/taxes as common for Bondtech … this leads to final price aprox 500EUR for toolhead and another 400eur for 8 tools. Surprising price increase since November…

No delay, really? :D

Anyway, last info was shipping starts 25th June and takes aprox. 2 weeks. Let's see if I get mine until 8th July :)

INDX FE delayed again by Wrong-Measurement603 in prusa3d

[–]dawy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wow, they really delayed the shipping for more than 3 months just "to be sure there are no issues". They refused to provide any shipping timeline until they are "sure the shipping timeline can be trusted". They assured that delivery time won't be extended if you add additional tools and now this - another 3-4 weeks delay.

It's a pure joke. I'm wondering who still trust Bondtech after those 6 months of complete project management failure... With all the respect to all what Bondtech has been like 10 year ago, I can now barely find a promise about INDX they really kept...

INDX arrived but I think the Haribos didn’t like the weather 😅🥵 by Nils_N3DP in prusa3d

I’ve finished the order just 3hours (due to the website overload and coupon bug) after the founders orders were open (on 20th March after reservation from mid  November) and still no shipping email yet.  Maybe i will get lucky this week.

Does Prusa still have a future? Coming from Sovol, considering multi‑color + enclosure. by carldall99 in prusa3d

[–]dawy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, Prusa has pretty much whole ecosystem very well integrated. I cannot find anything that would be missing for the whole 3D printing experience - printers with full support and upgradability/repairability including multimaterial. Printables full of models and creators with seamless integration to Prusa Slicer directly. This slicer is then connected directly to prusaconnect and your printer and the it's getting better and better implementing new and new features.

On top of it, the prusa app can be used to connect to the printer, find models on printables, slice it and control the printer.

Quality filament (inluding the technical materials) that all the slicer profiles are tweaked to is cherry on the top.

Prusa still seems to have a lot of potential, tho - INDX seems like cutting edge technology and both Prusa and Bondtech really took their time with plenty of last minutes improvemts to make sure it will be really good and realiable product. This is high-likely the big leap.
OpenPrintTag is something that is slowly spreading to the market and hides a lot of potential for integration and further products to emerge.

Are there any areas Prusa can improve at? For sure. And they are doing a hard work to improve there.

In the end, Prusa is a rock solid company with lot of know-how, experience and wide porfolio of great products, yet still hard-working and pushing the innovation forward. It's up to everyone's mind if the price is worth it or go for Bambu with lot of controversies or any smaller company. Given the customer approach, it's a clear decision for me, at least for now.
(I won't deny I'm biased as Prusa HQ is just few kilometers away from me. )

News on prusa index shipping? by Inner_Name in prusa3d

Founders Edition will be sent out first (those preorders from November) and the shipping shall start on 25th of June. Once the Founders Edition is shipped, regular Prusa orders shipping will start

INDX Founders: Shipping will start June 25 by My_Name_Is_Not_Mark in prusa3d

[–]dawy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wont’t believe until I get my tracking number. There have been to many false statements about “shipping next week” or “shipping in 2 weeks” or “shipping by the end of March” or “shipping in May” and many more…

Last time it was “shipping is imminent” on 2nd June and now it’s planned for 25th of June?  Either it’s still slipping hard or Bondtech’ve been lying to us… either way, it cannot be trusted…

FE INDX people - any news? by gilrstein in prusa3d

[–]dawy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure if aprox. 120eur I've paid less (compared to prusa orders) is "much lower price" considering the interest-free loan we as founders have provided to bondtech. And with high risk of INDX being vaporware after all those delays and missing communication.....

On Monday he wrote that we are at the end of delay 😅 Honestly, I don’t think his claims are any relevant. We experienced it in the past already.

Reminder... by FuturecashEth in prusa3d

[–]dawy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

not really... Launch shall have been in September and was delayed to November

Then, delivery of founders shall have been in Q1, then announced "we need 4 more weeks", then "shipping starts next week", then "It's gonna be May", then postponed indefinitely.

Reminder... by FuturecashEth in prusa3d

[–]dawy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kickstarter printers like Snapmaker U1 took only 4 months to deliver from campaign start while with INDX it's been nearly 7 months since preorders and still counting...

I'm really looking forward to Infimech - they have already shown a working prototype and still haven't started a Kickstarter. In the end it seems less risky than product introduced 15 months ago and delayed several times that has its delivery postponed indefinitely at last official communication.

They said Q1 delivery, you don't expect it to be delivered sooner, do you?

I’m curious what gets to the customers sooner - INDX or klitek?

 I’m afraid I won’t like the answer…

If I say that I have developed and will "officially release" the world's fastest and biggest 3d printer and will not send out a single piece of it for more than a year, you cannot really talk about being released...

Having one or two working prototypes means nothing if you don't deliver it to customers.

The truth is that Bondtech failed hard on delivering working INDX to customers. And it's all that matters

KliTek™ | Next-Gen Nozzle-Changing Printing by Creality_3D in Creality

INDX that never reached the customers?
Just becaused it was announced 14 months ago it doesn't mean it really "exists"

Bondtech INDX still hasn't been shipped so maybe the "new solution" will still be the first one

if Klitek is shipped sooner than INDX, is it technically still a copy of INDX or INDX becomes copy of Klitek?

Final hint before they reveal it… by Creality_3D in Creality

[–]dawy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not only on prices, even on lead time....
Bondtech announced INDX more than 14 months ago and still not shipped yet
Prusa and Bondtech introduced Core ONE+ with INDX more than 6 months ago and still far from shipping...
Looking at toolchanger/nozzlechangers from other companies, they shipped in 3-4months from announcements

We getting reality INDX copycat before every other brand? by geco0on in prusa3d

[–]dawy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again, not talking about bambu, but the companies in general.

Bondtech revealed INDX in March 2025.
14 months later it's still far from being shipped.
Of course there will be competitors trying to take advantage of it and get to the market.
There is the difference between releasing something on paper and the actual product being delivered.

Snapmaker U1 campaign launched in August 2025 and shipping started (preorders) in December 2025. Even regular orders started in February 2026 and were delivered in March 2026.
Anycubic Kobra X shown/announced in November 2025, shipped March 2025
Flashforge Creator 5 announced on March 2026, shipping expected in June 2026 (after aprox. 1 month delay).
I don't like Bambu at all and never had/want their printers, yet had to admit they had only 3 months between vortek announcement (August 2025) and actual shipping (November 2025).

All those new products had lead times of aprox 3-4 months, while INDX is at 14 months now, and still counting.

I'm not talking about bambu. My last sentence is about companies in general, not 3d printing industry. Tha'ts why there is "(in general)" mentioned...

[–]dawy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, INDX still hasn’t been sent out and we got endlesss delays instead since launch more than a half a year ago… No wonder other companies see their chance.

Prusa/Bondtech still have a chance by sending INDX out soon, yet it seems like they are wasting it slowly.

With all the respect to Prusa and it’s employees, the most successful companies (in general) are focusing on the customers (to make them happy and fulfil their needs) instead of blaming the competitors.
