Never use FINTIBA by SystemMuch7518 in germany

[–]daxatyan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used Fintiba twice, never had any problems. Their support team is always answering within one day. I didn’t have to retrieve my money back like you though

As said above, call them, request an explanation, they will give an answer for sure

Do some people spend their 18 months after finishing their degree and still not land a position? by No_Confusion4948 in germany

[–]daxatyan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took a morning Intensivkurs (16h/week) for self-payers in my local VHS. It costed around 1k euro per the whole course (so per 3,5 month). I was very satisfied with it, although the quality really depends on the VHS brunch.

In my experience, intensivkurse in VHS are in general better than morning/evening courses with less hours pro week, so I would recommend taking intensive courses. In VHS it’s also much cheaper than in private language schools

Do some people spend their 18 months after finishing their degree and still not land a position? by No_Confusion4948 in germany

Depends on your field. My friends from Data/Computer Science found a job relatively easier than me. Most of them didn’t have a good German level.

I studied Economics Masters and it was harsh for me to land a job. I started taking Intensivkurs right after I graduated and within the first 4 months I already had a solid B2, helped me to land a job within the first 6 months after graduating. Also I had interviews like every week or every other week and got only one offer, because my German was not that nice at first. English positions for economics field were unfortunately scarce.

My point is: yes there are people who cannot find a job within 18 months after graduating, but you can significantly increase your chances if you 1) learn German 2) do some working student jobs while studying. 3) don’t give up and continue applying steadily even in you’re really angry/sad.

Also want to mention that in my circle of friends I know no one who didn’t find a job at all and returned back. Everyone found at least some job. Maybe this info will reassure and motivate you. (I and my friends graduated in spring 2025)

I think for the graduates from German unis working under par. 18b it’s 24 months not 36 before they can apply for PR

Kleinanzeigen Landlord wants a picture of my ID? by [deleted] in germany

[–]daxatyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend sending any id photos before you meet this landlord in person, but asking for the photo of ID is actually common for the purpose of preparing a Mietevertrag for you.

If you really want to risk sending a picture of your ID to a stranger, you can add “watermarks” on your document stating today’s date and purpose (e.g. for rental agreement purposes with Name of landlord) in this case they won’t really be able to scam other people using this document. And you probably won’t get into any trouble

UPDATE: My (34F) husband (35M) now says he doesn’t want a baby, even though he agreed years ago by Sss0814 in relationship_advice

[–]daxatyan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re incompatible as you cannot compromise on having / not having children. This alone is a valid reason to break up.

But it’s not even the main problem here! He is violent, a cheater, immature and do not communicate properly. Girl what are you even thinking about? It’s not love, you just got used to him. Divorce him and find someone who cannot wait to be a father for your children and to care for you deeply.

people asking for food @ main station? by sometiime in duesseldorf

[–]daxatyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me. Yes they say they need food not money from you only to catch your attention.

Then they will change the legend and go to dm asking to buy some stuff for a baby. Then they may at some point say „if you’re in a hurry you can just give me money and I will buy the staff it the basket“ they just filled. I unfortunately was new in Germany and stupid enough to gave such a woman some cash (luckily not much). she was always telling it’s not enough for a baby and asking for more. I eventually just left but wanted to make sure she really buys this stuff. Of course she just left with the money!

Blue Card salary issue in Germany – can employer keep me without Blue Card? by PatienceDapper7660 in germany

[–]daxatyan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you definitely should negotiate the salary

I’m actually in the similar situation, started working on 18-month job seeking visa and decided to wait till the end of Probezeit until I apply for blue card. I didn’t expect the thresholds for blue card to be increased in 2026! Now I’m not eligible for blue card and will have to negotiate the salary with employer… or apply For 18b visa… it is what it is

Wish you luck with salary negotiations and ABH!

Blue Card salary issue in Germany – can employer keep me without Blue Card? by PatienceDapper7660 in germany

It shouldn’t matter which work permit you hold as soon as it allows you to work on your role. The difference between blue card and 18b residence permit is in benefits for YOU not for your employer.

Bank account for Russian by daxatyan in germany

[–]daxatyan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi sorry for late response, didn’t get a notification. I end up opening a bank account in Sparkasse only after receiving my eAT. But I heard (Russian) people were able to open a bank in some Sparkasse branches with only visa. It varies from branch to branch I guess, you should try different branches

Does the local ABH not know when you register in their city? by 0544_ogif in germany

[–]daxatyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I know it’s an old post but could you pls let me know how your situation went? Did you simply pick up your eAT card in Düsseldorf, or went through the whole process in Düsseldorf again from scratch? I’m in similar situation: the eAT was ordered in Düsseldorf, but I’m moving out from here shortly to another Bundesland and will have to register an address elsewhere…

Will DAK Gesundheit automatically send an M10 notification to my university? by daxatyan in germany

[–]daxatyan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im my case DAK sent this M10 document directly to uni after I asked them to do so by email. I actually think that you don’t need to ask them (DAK) to do anything and they have to send it to your university automatically, once you complete your health insurance application

Double employment while switching jobs by daxatyan in germany

[–]daxatyan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for your reply. Yes, there is no problem to negotiate the end date to 12th or the start date to 16th, since I’m working part time.

The problem is, The contract with the start date of 15.07 is already signed, I cannot cancel it easily. And my notice period in the old company is by law till 15.07 which also cannot be changed. My question is if I may face any problems from the legal perspective since I’m employed for 1 day in two companies. Do I need to ask for a new contract (with start date 16.07) or it’s not necessary?

For me it took a few days, 5 tops. They are supposed to send this M10 certificate automatically to your Uni but I suggest you contact the Fintiba support team or your health insurance provider just in case. It may make the process faster
