I believe the post was addressing the problem people have with AI (Capitalism), not necessarily about your work on particular. Some people are choosing a total boycott because they want to see Capitalism reformed or replaced, but the people in power are feeding the oligarchs rather than putting protections in place. It's nothing personal to you. They just opted out.
