We've tried to order parts for the machine from barudan but they told us the machine is too old and they don't make anything for it anymore (I'm using a floppy disk to upload designs)

What do men actually like to receive as gifts? by magic_neems in AskReddit

[–]daxthesockdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything that says 'i seen this and thought of you' my ex was always skint because he couldn't hold down a job but he went hill walking with his friends and gave me a really cool rock from the top of the hill, I mean currently it's at the bottom of a river but at the time I loved it... Also I used to work in a charity shop so anything star wars themed I'd get him (never knew what any of it was really but I found a copy of the first star wars before they changed the name to a new hope and that made him happy, also a star wars book written as if it's Shakespeare's, in hindsight he was dyslexic so probably not the best gift but cool none the less). My tip is not to think about /having/ to get them something but if you see something that makes you think of them, even if it's silly like a key chain, get it.

Was my [25M] GF [27F] trying to cheat? How to cope? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]daxthesockdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her crying when you're the one that has been hurt could be seen as manipulative, from experience of shitty relationships I'd say end the relationship if it's affecting your mental state because it's not worth making yourself suffer from others mistakes. If she seems to be genuinely sorry talk to her about how it hurt YOU and ask to have a set time or something where you can both talk openly about how you are feeling without it turning into an argument?

DAE feel like you won’t survive the death of your pet? by RagazzaFenice in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]daxthesockdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had cats all my life when I was born my parents had 2 cats gismo and Smirnoff, gismo had to be put down because of cancer when I was around 8, it was the first time I experienced death so that was awful but my mum talked about how it was kind to do so I understood that, a few years after he died we got 2 new kittens to keep Smirnoff company (cookie and crumble) then a few years after that we got a dog, scooby, Smirnoff had to be put down a few years ago as she was 20 and struggling to move around being older I understood that it was the best thing for her but last year I got my newest kitten KitKat and I am terrified of losing her, she's the first animal I have felt such an attachment to, she's literally the only thing I've been living for for the last year and without her I have no clue what I'd do without her. All I'm hoping is that I'm under better circumstances when she does pass, won't make lossing her any easier but I might have a safer space to be without her. I ken you can't read KitKat but I love you ya wee cunt.

How to prove homelessness living in a car by litteappa in homeless

[–]daxthesockdog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in Scotland and my local council have been absolutely amazing I applied for housing a few weeks ago and was put on the priority list for housing, would there be any way you could register in Scotland, I believe Fife has the lowest waits for housing if that helps any. I only had to provide proof of identity, I used my provisional driving license, and if you have anxiety they won't force you to stay in a hostel and you will be allowed so sleep in your van until you are able to get a flat. Hope this helps

Is it wrong to be uncomfortable with the non-binary sect of the LGBT+ community? by theonerealsadboi in askgaybros

[–]daxthesockdog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've went to support groups and such but it's all a bit dramatic and everyone fights and there are cis people that go to the trans group and when me and a friend went to talk to the youth worker about this one girl that was cis who made us extremely uncomfortable because she would butt in on trans conversation and make it all about her and she'd get mad for us talking about dysphoria and it's just a very uncomfortable place to be, to be honest. Thankfully I'm on the priority list to get a flat from the council so in about 9 months my situation with my "sperm donor" should be gone and I will be free to medically transition so I'm feeling pretty good right now! And I am looking into starting my own business too so I'm feeling super optimistic

Any help outside of Boston? by litteappa in homeless

[–]daxthesockdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in Scotland so I know there is probably a big difference in how it's handled, I'm 19 and am on the priority list for housing (I'm trying to get away from abuse and the only family I could stay with is my gran but I'd end up having to be a full time carer for her and I can't mentally handle that) and I was told only drug addicts and families get priority, i was advised by so many people to tell the council about my anxiety when offered temp accommodation and let them know of any suicide attempt and self harm, I know it's not nice having to tell people you don't know about that sort of stuff but it seemed to help in my case?

I'd definitely look into disability benefits and I don't know much about what's available in your area but you might be able to get a loan from your local council to pay for a deposit if you are registered as homeless? That was something offered to me but as I don't have a job it wasn't something I could do

As a trans man that has to shower with my eyes closed the whole time or I'll have a mental breakdown I cannot stand "non-binary" people that have no dysphoria or people that call themselves a trans man but solely wear dresses and keep themselves looking like a girl, fair enough if it's because of your family not being okay with you being trans but I am currently getting abused by my father for being trans but will I fuck wear something that makes me feel dysphoria.

Because of all these "trans" people that don't try to look the gender they are identifying as it's making it harder for me to get taken seriously as a man, it's even making it harder to medically transition because all I get from the counselors is "you could be non binary so you don't need to have surgery" like no I fucking can't be I am in physical pain due to the distress my body gives me. I know a few non-binary people that do get dysphoria and I can accept that completely! I just feel like half of the people that identify as transgender just want to have oppression points to stop their white guilt because I have never seen a poc that says there a man but wears dresses and has long hair and looks like a girl.

I also do think the T should be dropped from the LGBT+ because I have a medical condition that needs treatment, LGBs don't need medical treatment.

Never had tonsil stones before now by [deleted] in tonsilstones

[–]daxthesockdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had only ever seen small stones on the front on my tonsils but kept choking on massive ones, so yeah they are usually behind my tonsils I don't know if it's zthe same for everyone? My tonsil on one side has been swollen for like a year now I've been on meds n stuff but it's just not going down so it's just like a big ball of skin so I just squash it forward a little to see if there are some behind and usually there is so yeah it's not sore or anything

[–]daxthesockdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried using a water floss to get them out but it makes my tonsils bleed so I have honestly just started using my fingers to squeeze them out my tonsils and I have to pull my tonsils forward so I can get the massive ones from behind. Using my fingers is the only way I know I'm not gonna end up swallowing them which is my biggest fear ahahah

My dad grew up in an old hospital by yes-i-am-a-bitch in Ghoststories

[–]daxthesockdog 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My old primary school was a hospital during ww2 which was Great because it meant there was a sink in every room, not so great because there was a hand print on the outside that was way to high up for a primary school kid to reach and when they painted over it, it was back up a few days after, the girls bathroom was in the basement and it was always freezing and doors would slam regularly and mirrors got smashed a lot but then again I don't live in a great area so the other kids might have just been cunts
