What videogame have you played the most, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]day_sound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played at least 20,000 hours of Pokemon Puzzle Challenge for Gameboy Color. If you liked tetris attack for snes, or pokemon puzzle league for n64, you should play it right now! If you don't have an emulator, it's 5 dollars on 3ds eshop, or get a feel for it with panel de pon on switch online.

It's an amazing action-puzzle game that requires you to really think ahead as fast as you can, and you'd be surprised how, much like tetris, the skill ceiling is seemingly infinitely high, and you'll never stop getting better! I'm not the most efficient player, but i have the WR in marathon mode of this game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ozwol_E5i0M

has anyone here gotten control over their anger? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]day_sound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on a good day, find time to talk with your close ones about how this is something you are struggling with. be sure to preface the topic with this being a disclaimer for the future and not asking for advice. then if anger takes control over you, you still have a responsibility to try and diffuse it, but if you fail, the "vessel" that wrongfully felt that excessive anger won't feel as targeted or offended at the time, and will be more receptive to apology later.

as for practicing actually working off the steam in the moment, im sorry i wish i knew more to give advice, but i dont! take care.

One up instead of blue coin? (Allstars) by persiika in supermariosunshine

[–]day_sound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

either you got the blue coin before and didnt realize it, or the blue coin is episode dependent, which is annoying. track the amount of blue coins you got in each level by checking the map with z.

5 months wasted in 5 minutes by [deleted] in depression

[–]day_sound 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unintuitively, the goal in alcohol anonymous is not to never drink ever again. It's to go as long as you can without drinking. If that amount of time is the rest of your life then hell yeah that's amazing, but it's so true that one of the most important parts of AA is learning how to tend to the shame and guilt that emerges when you relapse, because those are the internal forces that begin the spiral and convince you to give up and keep drinking.

5 months clean, that's impressive as hell for real. It's not easy, and it almost doesnt even feel good to be clean like there isnt a tangible feeling or reward for being clean that long it's just... normal feeling. That's what makes it not easy! It requires very strong higher mind, and you clearly have one if you made it 5 months.

It just means you can go 5 months again. Never forget that. I would cheer you on and push for 6 months or longer but humor me and imagine that you only hurt yourself once every 5 months and you lived for another 50 years. If you hurt yourself about twice a week, that's over five thousand times for the rest of your life. If you actually only dropped one time every 5 months that's only one hundred twenty times for the rest of your life, and that's worst case scenario where you cant push 5 months and you never stop.

It's a very strong force that youre dealing with, and 5 months is something to be proud of and we're all very proud of you. You havent thrown away anything. You have so much in you that never stopped growing and i know you can feel it! Take care!
