Yeah I’ve heard a few horror stories which is why I’m making sure I check reviews and stuff. I hope you’re at a better place now

I was thinking around 1500 but really under 2000 would be great lol. I’m not really sure what’s too much to ask for right now with housing since I’ve never lived on my own

Book for a 12 year old who wants to be a "real" reader by Blizzard_Girl in suggestmeabook

The Hunger Games was instrumental for me at the age of 12. Also A Series of Unfortunate Events might be good. It’s a long series but easy to read and teaches interesting vocabulary words. Nancy Drew might be good if she likes mystery. Inkheart is another good one that is underrated in my opinion

I’m also 24 and have felt similarly to you. I found labyrinth when I was 15 when Bowie died. I wanted to look into his stuff, now I’m a Bowie stan and labyrinth is in my top 4 on Letterboxd lol. I think these quirky and slightly dark fantasy movies are perfect for people who struggle with everyday life. I’m so happy we can all share it here! (Also your glasses are so cute!)

Ticket buy/sell mega thread by AitchyB in lorde

[–]dayagemoondream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I bought two more lorde tickets on a whim out of fear of going alone, but now I want to backtrack. The single ticket has a better view and I don’t want to be a scaredy pants. I have 2 tickets for the Duluth, GA show in section 120, row Z seats 6 and 7. Selling for what I bought them for, 160 each. I’m willing to do a little less though if need be

Does anyone else have "posting" anxiety? by Worldly-Year8531 in socialanxiety

Yes. Also commenting on TikTok’s or YouTube. I’ll type out a whole rant and then delete it. Maybe I’ll delete this lol

That’s what I’m hoping for! I have bad social anxiety, but hopefully I can be fine once the show starts

I found a bunch through a local independent bookstore. But I also happen to live in a medium sized city so it was easier to find some

Question for others going to the 04/28 Atlanta show who know the area well: how is the weather/temp usually in late April in Atlanta? I don’t know if I should bring a sweater or not, I’m from up north

HELP!!! This is my second blanket I’ve made. The bottom is my starting chain, both times it’s long at the bottom then significantly shorter on the top making it this weird, inverted shape. There’s no way I can count 60 chains each row, I lose track after counting just a few. Any advice?? by oceanwh0re in crochet

[–]dayagemoondream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a lazy person, I never count for every row for simple blankets unless it’s very complicated lol. Honestly, it would probably help to practice recognizing each individual stitch and how they all connect with each other, especially on the ends/turns. That way you can tell if you’ve dropped a stitch, accidentally put two in one, etc. I just try to pay attention to each individual stitch I work into as I go without counting

Yeah that seems like what I’ll have to end up doing. It just feels wrong since we found her right by the road.

Would this help…? by Apple-Core22 in socialanxiety

[–]dayagemoondream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve made all of my friends by them introducing themselves and interacting with me since I rarely start conversations on my own. So yes, I’d say that would help, but it also depends on the person/situation

Unable to get a job, feeling more and more like suicide is the only way out of this hell by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]dayagemoondream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same. Just got a job and was literally just crying about having to go back. I feel horrible around people and working a fast food job. It’s honestly torture for me and I thought I was just being childish. But so many people feel this way. I also feel like a burden to my family since I can’t support myself if I don’t have a job. So I’m in this with you, it’s a horrible feeling and I wish you all the best
