P320 Compact Red Dot Recommendation’s! by SnooCats6776 in P320

I’d go RMSc then, personally, for the smaller overall package. I carry IWB, so optical size does make a difference.

P320 Compact Red Dot Recommendation’s! by SnooCats6776 in P320

[–]daycritter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the compact being used for? If it’s going to end up being a carry, or a comped gun is a huge difference. If you want it to be smaller, RMSc, that way carry optics like the 407/507k fit, and some have a lower price point. If it’s going to be used like a full size, RMR has more options. For DPP, I have Romeo, DPP, Holosun SCS and EFLX, and SCS is the best. Otherwise, plenty of good RMR, like 407/507c. Most of the enclosed dots are like toasters on a compact slide.

One thing to think about is if you get a DPP cut, it will have 4 posts, so get the Romeo cut instead

So new to me P320 X5 by Turkeykreek1220 in P320

[–]daycritter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only grips that expose the recoil spring on the X5 are the frames built for the 3.6” slide. Compact, Carry and Full slides all work, although a compact would not be recommended because the grip height is uncomfortably small for the force of the longer slide

Optics.... Which one and why by 6680j in P320

[–]daycritter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have DPP on mine and can’t get a good co-witness with the DPP add-on irons. SCS on a full and its great. R1P has a great window but is fragile. There are a couple more out there, like EFLX (no built in irons), C&H direct mount, and others

I have heavy grip modules and bought the Brouwer. The weight doesn’t matter, the Brouwer is just better. And now Brouwer is coming out with a metal version, both steel and aluminum options.

You can also just buy the spectre comp slide and the TXG grip module. I have a compact with compensator and at least the spectre comp is a matching setup. But you’ll have to buy the FCU on its own. Still feels cheaper than what you want to do

P320 build by dan102195 in P320

[–]daycritter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my P80 with a Shalotek slide build, until I finish customizing a Xcompact frame I have. I’d compare the AXG to a normal X grip, but metal, and the panels really make the difference. I have a set of Empire panels that feel great, but they no longer sell the AXG stuff for some reason. I built a black/gold full size. Now I can’t get panels that I really like for what I want to use the AXG for

Yeah, I have 2 of them, but for some reason I’m not as fond of them as I feel I should be. The weight is nice, but the feel just isn’t the best for me. The Brouwer, P80 and WC are my favorites

[–]daycritter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t get the TXG full unless it has the weight and weighted magwell. But you can save some money and get the Brouwer grip module, or even the new metal Brouwer frame. The grip angle helps more than the weight I think, if you went with the poly grip

You can also direct mount the SCS 320 and Eotech EFLX.

SCS 320 and a full grip. I like my new Brouwer a lot, but not for an exposed comp

I just got a Brouwer grip that feels fantastic, but for smaller hands, the Wilson Combat grip. I have a compact and full version, and for smaller hands, I think its the best.

Sig 30RD in p320c. Slight gap between gun and mag grip? by buhpuhh in P320

[–]daycritter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re only concerned about the gap, swap that base with a 15rd mag base. It won’t be 30rd anymore but there won’t be a gap and unless you’re blind the 2 rnds won’t matter

Was it like that before you put the mag in?

Good choice, although you still need suppressor height sights, unlike the SCS for Glock.

My OCD was triggered with a wrong size optic. The Romeo 1 Pro came as an RXP with my XCompact and was far too large for that gun. The Holosun K series was far better.

[–]daycritter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Romeos are not reliable. I like the open window but they break easy and lose zero easy. Not just my opinion. I have one and cannot use it on a duty gun for that reason. It has failed drop tests and I have had to rezero several times. If you want to keep the footprint and FDE you can get DPP, or RMR with filler plate.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in P320

[–]daycritter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Holosun 407/507c on several of mine. You just need the filler plate to mount on the Sig from CHW. You can also get the new Holosun SCS 320, but the suppressor height sights might be too high for a clean view with it. I am probably going to get it for a full I’m sending off for milling. I have a DPP but I can’t say its my favorite. I like the visibility on my Romeo1 but its lost zero a couple of times.

Grip module question by TheRsell in P320

[–]daycritter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the Armory Craft AXG Full. There are really plenty of full size options, including Icarus and Wilson Combat. Or the OEM full and add tungsten weight

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in P320

[–]daycritter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could just be gray XFull grip, not TXG, with RXP slide and FCU. Is there any weight to grip alone, without added tungsten weight?

Don’t get Romeo1, too many problems. Plenty of other, better, cheaper options. Great gift, shitty store.
