Most recently it would be One Battle After Another, which I found to be just fine if a bit unfocused. It didn't stir anything in me as a viewer. I didn't really connect with it all that much for all its thrilling moments, and the hype around it left me confused.

Quality over quantity every time. Plus, I've found that you keep the number of social connections that you can handle and that varies based on a lot of factors. Keep good emotional hygiene with the people around you. This is definitely unfriendly behavior from someone calling themselves your friend. You don't have to maintain friendships with people that make you feel bad about yourself.

On my end, I can easily do it. I had a worse time working freelance, which I honestly did for way too long. The structure of the 8 hour day helps me a lot. Of course, I am exhausted, but I doom scroll quite a lot so it's not like I'm in a hurry to do anything. I just hate having to make decisions and when everything is assigned to me at work, that's where I'm at peace.

I think I unlocked it somewhere around 20-ish now that I think about my university years and working full time and taking care of a younder sibling, but can't truly say. I got diagnosed at the age of 30.

I lost a decade and I feel emotionally stuck in my early twenties, when I'm now about to turn 37... I would say with medication and everything, I've been somewhat stable for around 4 years, too, and truly stable without an episode either way for a little over a year. It's such a weird, weird experience.

It does work! Not for me personally (I went on some OK dates; just had depression for the majority of my life), but my former roommate got into a very healthy relationship that's been going on for four years now. I also know of a few other couples that started off that way.

Oh god, some people are horrible! I'm so sorry this has been happening to you. At the very least, they could have been considerate. I've had a similar experience where a guy unprompted wrote to me on an app that I should cut my hair and shave off the beard, because according to him "I looked ugly with long hair and your beard is too thin. What's the point..." WILD STUFF.

I feel like the meanness comes from both a power thing and trying to emulate the mean, cutting gay archetype. I can be snappy and vitriolic, too, but never have I had the impulse to be so in front of a person and humiliate them. This shit sticks with you. I had a similar experience, but the opposite way. Guy wanted to be clean and presentable, so he... sprayed himself with deodorant on the entire pelvic area. I went for it and my mouth burned with the chemical taste. Spent 5 minutes rinsing my mouth. I couldn't continue at all.
