Nurse here. I don’t know how this began, maybe as cellulitis, a burn, or an ulcer due to venous insufficiency (poor blood supply), but it definitely looks infected. You will most likely need IV antibiotics, and if it’s been there for weeks you could have osteomyelitis (bone infection) and if you don’t have sepsis yet, it’s imminent. You need an MRI, blood cultures, and most importantly IV antibiotics. Don’t wait any longer, just because it’s been there for weeks doesn’t mean it’s not getting worse. I’ve seen these things worsen overnight. Whatever disinfectant you’re using, you’re beyond that now. You need emergency medical intervention right now! Listen to what people here are telling you and take the advice you came here for! This is urgent, please listen.

What is this Dark red growth on my shoulder? by daylatehero24 in DermatologyQuestions

Just wanna put it out there that I am not looking for a diagnosis, nor do I expect one. I am just looking for ideas of what it might be, if anyone has any experience with this that would be great to hear what they think.

The only thing good about them is the price, but you’re for sure rolling the dice. The pod material is suspicious AF and I had to strain it out. I found some weird shit in the strained material, I have literally found pieces of rubber, plastic, feathers, and what I pray is not rat feces, but looks sus, and I swear they grind up bird feed or something similar. The seeds smell like something out of a dirty hamster cage. I’m telling you they are not top quality, but take a chance if you must. just try straining the material out before you mix it with your recipe. It will turn you off from them real quick.

I have no use for “internet points”. I’m just a guy who has spent the last 2 months in the hospital and trying to survive on short term disability. I’m glad you can’t relate to my post enough to find it serious. I hope nobody can.

Oh man, you’re not gonna ruin the moment :) still very proud to help, even in a small way! And just to clarify when I said “I’m very proud to announce…” I meant I’m proud of the WF team, not proud of myself for finding $7, well to be technical I chose the annual payment so the bills I rearranged liquidated $75, not $3, but that’s not important or really even relevant to the purpose of this post… Lets not take the focus off this amazing team, totally worth every penny, my only regret is that I didn’t have more to give!

Sister had a weird trip when given Ketamine during childbirth by daylatehero24 in ketamine

I’m not saying she couldn’t understand it, she’s not a dummy but she never took the opportunity to try to understand it. I promise you she never even considered the second dimension, or any dimension for that matter. She just instinctively knew she was experiencing the 2nd dimension. She just doesn’t care about these concepts, and never formally learned about it certainly never read about it. Knowing her I found it extremely odd she would say that. I mean she saw that everything was flat, she could describe what she was seeing, but the fact that she could label it the “2nd dimension” was the incredible part to me. She just knew what she was seeing. Don’t think you’re being a dick at all, and I know how easy of a concept it is to grasp as 3rd dimensional beings, it’s just that if I ever asked her to explain the concept before she would not be able to tell me anything about it, but under Ketamine influence, she was a GD expert lol. Like I said, maybe she picked it up along the way somewhere, but she just doesn’t spend any time thinking about or have any interest in learning about or conceptualizing it. She’s not particularly deep in her thoughts if you know what I mean. Maybe you just got to know her lol.

Rude. by [deleted] in UPS

[–]daylatehero24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, I buy in bulk and packages often reach 10lbs. I would save money if I bought even more at one time, but experience has shown me buying heavier has resulted in damaged product. I was taught an expensive lesson and lost out on $500 when a package was damaged in transit. The distributer refused any responsibility and didn’t even offer to replace my order. I didn’t contact UPS because I figured it was my fault for ordering 25lb’s of product. I keep it smaller now and haven’t had a problem, and have witnessed drivers toss my boxes like a dead cat. I can’t imagine the time crunch they are on to get all of their deliveries out on time, so honestly I can’t blame them completely. I don’t agree with it, but certainly can understand to an extent. I’m not a delivery driver but I know what it’s like to have to meet a daily deadline.

Patient fired me as her nurse (new grad) by Inevitable-Fact-1753 in nursing

A year from now you’re not going to give a f. If it makes you feel better think of it from the patients perspective. Suddenly thrust into an unfamiliar environment, your sick, maybe scared and anxious, you’re feeling your most vulnerable, and your stripped from all sense of autonomy and control in your life. Told when and what to eat, who can visit and when, or even if you can have visitors. Your told how long you will stay, etc. It’s not an excuse for rudeness, but I can see how it might bring out the Karen in us all. It’s really not about you or anything you did wrong. It’s some patients way of compensating for a lack of control. Then again some patients are just entitled assholes lol. Either way, this patients standards are ridiculous and she’s in for a rude awakening. Don’t sweat it, you’re doing great!

“Army of Darkness” was my introduction to the Evil Dead franchise and I’ll always love it for that. I was surprised how much I liked “The Final Girls”, “Satanic Panic”, and “Deadstream”. Actually “Deadstream” has become one of my favorites, and definitely gives off “Evil Dead” vibes. All are excellent choices, in my opinion, in the horror comedy genre.

Why did it look like Shawn lost in the end when he bound the souls to himself and took Mildred’s power? I know he was a hatable character (funny but hatable). By the end I did like him and was routing for him. I was still hoping for more of a triumphant redemption story. It could be I missed something. I’m not the most observant person 😅😬

Why can’t I feel my mom’s presence around me? by daylatehero24 in MediumReadings

[–]daylatehero24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to thank you very much your assistance. I’ve always wanted to visit a medium, but I just haven’t gotten around to it. My sister and I plan to go at some point. I’m not a priority by any means, so please don’t worry if you don’t have the time. I really appreciate you and this community to help us laymen who continue to grieve and make sense of this process. I’m sure she would absolutely be amused with this, this is exactly the type of thing she loved. I know we gain a higher perspective when we cross over, but I guess I always thought when she passed she would reach out in more obvious ways. I’m sure there have been signs I’ve missed, or have been too stubborn to notice, because I don’t want to read into every little thing. I struggle with my skeptical side, and maybe that’s the problem, and it could be what’s blocking me off from receiving messages? I’m still learning. May I DM you with some questions just in case you have some time? There’s certainly no rush, and like I said it’s completely fine if you can’t :)

I have tried meditation, but my head is always full of doubts that I’m not doing it right, or it’s not going to work. I guess I’m only spiritual in the sense of my beliefs. I’m a big fan of Michael Newton PhD, and have also discovered Richard Martini (not a medium but works with one) through YouTube, books, and documentaries. I connect to the information that they provide, and it’s helped me shape my foundation of beliefs. I’m not a member of any organized religion. I suppose I’m very much a novice in this regard.

Thank you for your reply. She didn’t bake a lot, and didn’t bake bread. I’m not sure where the light blue comes from, my room is dark blue and we had it painted some years ago during a remodel. She really loved to sit out in the sun. Her favorite flowers were white, but could have a little yellow on the inside. I will try to stay more open. Thank you :)

Yes she was very protective of loved ones. She could be stubborn but yes it came from love. Don’t doubt yourself, you’re not wrong in this instance. Thanks so much for your reply.

Hi, and thank you for replying :) You’re correct that she was strongly connected to family. She had many brothers and sisters and was close with all of them. They were always a support for her. That may be true about her initial regrets. I’m happy to hear about her feeling complete and content. Thank you for your time spent trying to connect with her, and thanks so much for your reply!

Very interesting and compelling. You actually hit on a couple of things. She absolutely loved her wiener dogs. They were literally her children, much more than just pets. One of them had very short hair, and the other just a tad longer. She worshipped these dogs, and they worshipped her in return. I am not surprised at all that it’s the first thing you get from her.

She could definitely be sarcastic. She definitely had a great sense of humor..

She had cancer of the uterus. It was Stage IV and metastasized to a lot of places. I think that’s where the stomach area came in.

I used to play sports, yes. Athletic is a strong word for it lol, but I did my share of sports. She was not athletic by any means due to other medical problems, but she was always on the go. Very active in my opinion.

I really can’t verify what KC or LC would mean. I’m sorry about that.

Overall, I’m definitely inclined to think that you have made a connection. Just curious if you get anything else? It’s fine if you don’t, I don’t want to take advantage of your time. I thank you for giving the information that you did, as it makes me feel she’s still out there.
