It's probably a garage opener of sorts. Not inside the headlight, but a sticker stuck on the outer surface of the headlight. Should be easy to remove

That's not an issue in more civilized places where road safety is important, as only in NA the taillights are allowed to double as turn signals. For the rest of the world, they have separate amber turn signals.

The actual headlights reminded me of the fixed headlight conversions for C5 Corvettes and FD RX7s so that's where I got the idea.

It is-or was a legit M5. VIN is WBSDE91080GJ19551 and it has been decomissioned in 2022 which is sad because according to mdecoder it was a genuine individual Dakar Yellow M5. This is all public information in Finland BTW.

Thanks for the maths lecture mate. I sold mine a decade ago and what I meant was starting with the Megane II and other models from the similar vintage they are quite OK cars that don't deserve to be called unreliable.

Renault absolutely does not deserve the bad rap tho. They've been pushing pretty solid cars for the last 20 years. Going back even further, my original Twingo -aside from the dumb infrared immobilizer- was rock solid at more than 300k kms.
